About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

The course was in very good shape except the greens were still recovering from being aerated. I was able to use my TeeTime Pass book, but I was told I could only use it as a walkon and couldn't make a reservation with. I was shocked at how much the senior rate had gone up since last year by $20 to $74. I was told the regular rate was now $84, which is way too high. Golf is getting very expensive almost everywhere.
The Most Beautiful Course in Maryland?
I played the course while greens were being plugged and sanded. It made a challenging putting course untenable. To be fair, I was offered a discounted rate of $44, but was limited to playing the front 9. I'm not sure if I would have booked the tee time had there been full disclosure. Other than that...how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
It was a beautiful day. The staff was really friendly. The course has a lovely lynx feel to it. It's challenging but fair and best enjoyed by low-mid handicap players. Good shots are rewarded, but bad shots are not punished too harshly.
I will be back to see the course in a few weeks when the greens are rolling better.
Good course, but a poor value at $109-129
Blue Mash is a good layout and a great course for walkers. But at $109 (or even higher at $129) this is not a good value. Range balls are extra. Course is in decent shape but at this price there needs to be much more attention to detail. It will be interesting to see if new management makes needed improvements.
Spring
New tee boxes were great. Greens were amazing. Staff was
helpful as always
Beautiful day out
First beautiful day of the spring. Good conditions. A little slow but nothing too bad. A great course that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Not sure if I would put this in the monthly rotation . Would like to play it when the weather gets better hopefully the course conditions will improve . Still don’t think it’s worth the money
Nice Day
The guy in the pro shop was great
The course was under winter repair but was still in good shape.
Amazing Links Course that is a Must Play
Blue Mash is easily my favorite course in Maryland. The course itself offers a fun and diverse layout of holes and it is always in immaculate shape. The fairways are well maintained and the greens roll true and fast. Besides the great course and course conditions, all of the staff are extremely hospitable and welcoming, which is not something that can be said about most courses (the food and drinks are also amazing). The manager, Sam, has gone out of his way on several occasions to ensure that my group is enjoying the round and truly cares about the experience of every golfer. I would also be remiss to leave out the fact that Blue Mash is reasonably priced and is a lot cheaper than some other “high-end” public courses in MD, such as Whiskey Creek, which does not even have as good of course conditions. Anyone from the DMV area should put Blue Mash on their list of top courses that are worth playing multiple times throughout the year.
Blue Mash
One of my favorite spots to play in Moco. Beautiful layout and views. Course is always well maintained and so much fun to play. Lookup Sam in the pro shop, he is top notch and always provides excellent customer service!
Great course, great staff.
One of my favorite courses in MD. Fun layout, great quality. The staff is awesome too. I would definitely recommend this course. Look for Sam in the clubhouse, great guy.
Blue Mash has it all!
Due to winter conditions it was cart path only which made it difficult for me to play all holes due to weak knees. The course was in good shape and fun to play. I look forward to going back when it is fully playable. The staff was awesome both in the pro shop and on the course. The GPS on the carts is a plus. Will definitely be back in the spring and plan to return many times. Thanks for a great day.
Thank you!
Great course and excellent staff members
The course is great and fun to play in and Sam is a great staff member.
Thanks!!
