About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

Best public Course In MOCO

Great experience
It was my first time playing at blue mash wasn’t sure what to expect but once I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcoming. Sam was wonderful great customer service. Was very attentive if we needed anything before we went out. Golf balls gloves tees etc. He wanted to make sure we had everything. Honestly made me feel more confident in my game. Overall the course was beautiful and highly recommend to come and visit you won’t regret it.

Great links type layout
The course was wet but in excellent condition. My group loss a few balls that were center fairway, more than likely plugged. Greens were speedy and rolled true. Beautiful course.

You need every club in the bag and that makes it fun.
Memorable for all the right reasons
I’ll preface this review with the fact that myself and three friends played this course in mid-November with the temperature hovering around 30 degrees and a wind that dropped the real feel to the teens. Yet, foolishly or otherwise, we ventured on, playing all 18 holes and finishing as the sun set.
The course, even in this weather, was maintained incredibly. The greens felt at summer speeds, you could take chunks out of the fairway without feeling like your clubs or hands would snap instead of the cold ground giving way. The staff was incredibly helpful, providing food and assistance quickly and with care.
The layout is also wonderful. For a player of my caliber, a nice open fairway to find my shanked balls are always appreciated. Yet this course doesn’t cater to the newbie, with smart bunker placement, tough greens, and long par 5s it can be a challenge to most.
Overall this course is high on my list of MD destinations. I will 100% be returning in the spring/summer for more rounds.

Great Conditions
The course was in phenomenal shape. This was our first time coming here and we were more than pleased with the overall quality of the course, as well as the difficult challenge some holes played. The staff were also very friendly and they had great bar service. I would recommend anyone to come play this wonderful course.
