Fun course
Such a golfer friendly course. It's a course that suits my game well. I always look forward to going back.
Pretty Good
Everything was good but the course was just not in top shape like I've been there and see it before. Greens were a little rough.
Fun and fairly easy course
This course has some scenic views in the basin of a home community.
Pros:
- Nice Fairways
- Open
- Some scenic holes
- Nice driving range
Cons:
- Greens were a little rough
- Multiple tee boxes were slanted or had excessive dips
- Bunkers were poor
Next time up from Florida will play again
Excellence course layout and course condition. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Carts were new and very clean.
Great course. Par 3's have nice variety.
I love playing the Bull. I think it has a great layout and nice selection of tees to accommodate your playing ability. I usually rate the course conditions as excellent, but to be fair, I dropped the rating to good. They are having some issues with some of their greens. Nothing that would stop me from playing their again. I love the course and I would still rate the greens as "good".
Great Course, Great Condition!
This is only the second time I've played there, but now I will play it much more frequently. The course is in excellent shape, and is overall one of the best courses in the entire area!
Our group really likes this course
The course was in excellent condition, and the staff was very friendly and courteous. They have replaced the cart paths on the front nine, and once they replace the paths on the back, there is no reason not to play here.

Father son outing
I took my son who turned 14 for an outing. The staff was great and the course was in excellent shape.
Good course
This course was nice. It didn't have any wow factors. With golfnow the value was good. I probably wouldn't drive over an hour and a half for this course again, but overall it was enjoyable.

Great course first time playing it this year. I play a lot of courses around Lexington and I would say this course is in the top 3or 4 I play!

Fantastic Shape!
As the title states... I have not seen it looking this good since I first played there last year. Only complaint is the cart paths... Fix your cart paths Bull! Other than that, great day of golf!
Has grown on me
Course was very wet from heavy overnight rains and was cart path only on this visit. I have played this course a handful of time over the past couple of years and it has grown on me. Bentgrass fairways are in very good shape right now. Rough was very green and full. Some bunkers had water in them , the rest sand was very heavy and compacted, but again course had experienced some heavy rains the night before and actually a short storm rolled in and dumped more rain for several minutes during my round there. Greens were in pretty good shape and rolled about a medium speed. Not a lot of people out on this day and pace of play was as fast as you could play pretty much. It has it's weak holes, just as any course does, but overall this has become one of my favorites in the CKY area, and probably in the best shape of any course I have played so far this spring. Lots of rolling terrain.
Fix the cart paths
The Bull is suppose to be one of the premium places to play in KY. But the cart paths are extremely dangerous rough. You don't need golf carts, you need an atv. I love the course, very challenging. But they need to spend some of the high price greens fees & memberships to fix the cart paths.

Everything was great. Slower players let us go through which is unheard of these days. Still a little pricey for a monday afternoon but still worth it.
Real gem in heart of Kentucky
First time golfing in Kentucky and we weren't disappointed.
This course is situated in some rolling hills with many great views. There are several elevation changes which make the course challenging at times.
Course was in decent shape -greens were receptive to well played approach shots.
Only complaint would be there were few markers on the fairways to show distance to greens.
We will play again.
PS -One of our favourite moments was when three deer raced across the fairway on 15.
Best value in KY
I have played at The Bull several times and I am always happy to return. The clubhouse and golf course is under new ownership/management and there have already been many improvements. The course itself is beautiful and surrounded by many high end homes. The clubhouse lacks in freshness and could use some more televisions and an overall remodel, but that's not what I go golfing for.
The course played well and there are always a few nice challenges when playing. The cart paths do need to be redone immediately as they are in rough shape which causes most players to drive through the grass for most of the course.
Food at the clubhouse has never been great. It usually tastes like the fryers are using old oil, and sometimes the food doesn't come out properly cooked. Overall the prices are great through and the drinks are the best deal I've seen in a long time, especially for a golf course.
I highly recommend this course if you can play for $30 or under. Give it a try and tell us what you think!
