Connemara
This place is pure, pace of play has always been quick for me, has a nice range (range balls are a bit pricey for what you get) and nice practice green/chipping green and practice bunkers. Value for money is insane (especially on hot deal) though I could also have a skewed point of view on that as I moved here from Florida a couple months ago and every course there starts at like $50 minimum. If you’re an absolute stick you might find this place a bit easy but I don’t know if that’s really a bad thing. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
Worst staff I’ve ever seen
I played this course yesterday and from the jump the staff was very rude. They told me that there was a no spectator policy which I was fine but the guys reasoning was pure lies. He claimed that it was a busy day and that there were a shortage or carts just me to go out there and see 15 carts plus. Then coming around the bend to hole 10 I go inside the saloon to grab a drink and the bartender is suspicious about my vertical I’d that isn’t expired and clearly states I’m 21 years old. Anyways besides the angry staff the course was decent and had a very nice par three hole.
Fun round
Arrived early, forecast was for strong rain and storms. 4 some in front of us cancelled and starter told us to go out early. Weather held out for the entire round. Course was in great shape and the greens were perfect medium fast and rolling true. Rough was fair cut with a main cut and in some places some very high, but you had to sling one pretty poor to get to that level of rough. Back 9 is always fairly gettable with 3 par 5s and all are pretty straightforward. Love that they filled in the valley on the #2 par 3, that was always a hard hole if you hit the front of the green and then had a 15 or so foot pitch straight above your head. Good job Connemara.
Still mine of the best in the area.
This is one of my top courses in the greater Lexington area. I always enjoy playing here. Inshot my best round ever here about 3 years ago.
Interesting layout with 2 consecutive par 5’s in the back 9.
Staff has always been friendly here. They have made a change in the course though. They filled in the Valley of Death on the par 3 number 2.
If
You have played this course before, you know!
Great round
We had gotten a lot of rain the night before but the course didn’t show it at all. I was a single and went off with another single and we had a fun enjoyable round.
I’ll be back again and it is a fun track.
Great course!
Well kept course, good food, friendly staff, and great value. Great experience!
