Golfer Reviews
Like most courses in the Tucson area the bunkers are a bit sketchy with little to no sand and rock hard. Greens were in great shape and more receptive than most we’ve played.
The starter was very friendly and helpful.
No Ranger for slow play
Course is getting a little dry. Greens are very bumpy. The foursome in front of us were beyond slow. Worst case i have ever witnessed. .But not having a ranger does not help. The gal in the clubhouse is fantastic. The entire starter staff is amazing.
Fun Course
Played a great round with perfect weather. Pace was fast and course was in amazing condition.
Poor rating due to slow play. Bunkers were not cared for.
Staff was friendly, including young cart lady.
Will be back to play.
If there was info re the range being closed mid-day, we missed it -- although the idea of "warming up" on an 88-degree day might be questionable! Otherwise a nice day at the Ranch. Generally very good course conditions. Bunkers are packed hard and rocky (as with most Tucson-area courses).
Nice track!
I live up in Tucson but love coming down to the Ranch, good layout with some really good holes. Course was in good condition except for the bunkers. I understand the course was recently sold, hopefully the new owner will make the much needed improvements to the bunkers. I brought some first timers down this trip and they loved it….
Nice with the exception of the sand traps
I'm from the midwest and enjoyed everything about the course except the sand traps. Amazingly there was little to no sand in the traps and they were rock hard. I would suggest either maintaining the traps or filling them in and growing some grass.
Awesome and nice for the price
Nice greens and fairways. But sand traps need real sand and had a lot of rocks and the sand was hard packed.
Needs Some TLC
The course is under new leadership. They have their work cut out for them.
Fairways were good
Greens were shaggy, some of the slowest our group have played all winter
Bunkers were hard. Playing a good shot out of 80% of them would be tough.
Pro shop was very good.
Other. We continue to see people driving their carts around the green without a handicap flag. This makes it a lot harder for the staff to get the course back to where it should be.
Solid track
Book this on GolfNow the night before found it to be a really fun track. Great condition, other than the sand traps being rocky.. I was pleasantly surprised with the interesting holes, killer views, green fairway and tea box Conditions a solid value, and I would definitely come back. The food was also pretty good and the staff was excellent all around.
Vac is Ranch
Good course with great grass. The layout is interesting and challenging but it’s a fair course. The only drawback are the gravel pits that they call sand traps.
Maybe turn the sand traps into grass bunkers?!?
