Canoa Ranch Golf Club

Canoa Ranch is fast becoming one of our favorite courses in our new hometown!

Nice and Friendly staff! But the course was in bad condition, greens were horrible except on the 9th right next to the resort....

My wife , daughter, and I played Canoa Ranch. Beautiful course with amazing views and landscape. We had a wonderful day of play. This was all soured after we returned and turned our cart in. Kieth was the attendant. I apologized that he had to wait on us because we were the last off the course. Kieth proceeded to argue with me and was extremely rude to me. I will never return to this course. It is too bad because we loved the course. I will make sure I let people know about our disappointing experience.

Two things make this course under average at this time. The condition of 4 or 5 greens is unacceptable for play. Also, the beverage cart lady left early as we did not see her at all on the back nine as we needed water and ice. When you cannot provide water coolers on the course and none is available at the club house, for good reason, then the beverage cart should be available during the whole round. If this is not possible, then the course should shutdown completely. Our tee time was 12:24 and nothing was provided on our last nine. Hopefully this problem will be managed better in the future!!!

Pro shop incompetent.. got chewed out because could not get checked in. Some greens practically unplayable. Simple top dressing could make big difference.

Nice course. Staff accommodating. Come early for a lunch and beverage.

Will do it again.

We decided to give Canoa one more try this winter. Nine of the greens are still in bad shape, four more are not much better. There continues to be very little sand in the traps. The one's that have sand also have water or mud. Very disappointing conditions - if this course was in Michigan it would be out of business! My group will not be back - we played at a significantly reduced price from what most resort guests pay and we paid too much.

While the course has handsome vistas, the greens are absolutely disgraceful!

There was a bottleneck at our tee time which cost us a 1/2 hour delay. As such, we barely got our 18 holes in. The temp got cool and the last cup was hard to find in the lower light.

One hour frost delay pushed tee times back. No issue but when Marshall and staff depart at three with a full golf course not good. We quit on hole 14. Three foursomes were waiting on the 15th tee. Holes 16 and 17 were wide open (no golfers!) and a threesome was halfway up the fairway on 18.

Response from management was “sorry our Marshall left at 3 and the pro shop closed at 4” so no one with any authority was around.

For the price - this is a very bad deal. There are several greens that are a disgrace if you actually want to putt the ball. We were here 6 weeks ago - hoped things would change - nothing has changed! I will never bring back my group to this course or Torres (their other course) again. You can get much better golf at cheaper prices in Green Valley and south Tuscon. It's to bad because both the Ranch and Torres are great tracks - that appear to be of the track!

Fairways were fair for this time of year, but the greens were terrible. Haven't played this course for about a year because of the greens. Thought that by now they would have improved the greens. Don't think I will play this course for a few years. Not worth the price.

What a stunning setting, great front desk people, great starters, love playing this interesting course. A target course.

Tiny complaints are the golf carts are so stinky and breathing in the petrol fumes, not nice. We played this course so far 4 x and some carts are worse. A little damage to greens, but if you overlook this, play it, fabulously interesting.

Greens are notin vary good shape lots of spots with no grass and vary bumpy.

9 out of 18 greens were in good shape the others were terrible. I thought of buying a 10 play but will hold off. Maybe the wildlife is a problem.

Terrible condition for what they normally charge...we had a good rate from Golf Now so the financial hit was not so bad. Several greens had problems...no greens had been mowed....bunkers were primarily dirt, gravel, and stones....great layout with really nice views but it definitely needs some tender loving care. I am a "Snowbird" here for 3 months and will not play here again unless the rate is REALLY appealing.
