About
Designed by Rees Jones, Broad Run Golfer's Club boasts one of the best layouts in the area. The course sprawls across over 370 acres of rolling hills countryside. The dramatic elevations are definitely not something you would expect from a golf course that is conveniently situated so close to downtown Philadelphia. The elevated tees feel as though they're in the clouds and mature trees frame most of the holes. There are hazards lurking throughout the golf course including swampy marshlands and tall, dense grasses that are all just waiting to swallow errant shots. It is a challenging layout no doubt but it is made more player friendly with generous fairways and Jones was also light on the bunkering. One of the most difficult and scenic holes is the par-5 15th. This hole plays uphill, featuring a blind tee shot to a plateau green surrounded by trees.

Fantastic golf course
Great layout, elevation changes , overall great conditions with big fast greens
a Must play for sure
Becoming my favorite...
Played on a Friday, came back on Monday, and just booked again. The course looks intimidating but it's fair. Many of the more challenging shots funnel back in, and are protected. by humps / hills etc. The speed of the greens are a non issue, as my home course (Westwood) is the fastest I've played just about anywhere. 16 green is the only one that drives me nuts. Love this place and most especially in the fall. I drive an hour to play here so you know i must love it.

Course conditions were outstanding, and greens were in excellent shape.
Very well organized, and staff was friendly and helpful.
This is one of the nicest places to play in the area, and I will be returning.
My favorite
Always in great shape - tees to greens and everything in between. Longer than I usually play and rough is thicker but just a fun course to play.

Great track
Really nice course, fast greens beautiful fairways, if you are planning on walking this course, change your plan. Extremely hilly and it seemed like it was 1.5 miles between greens and the next tee box. The best part of our day was watching a young guy smash a 317 yard par 4, HOLE IN ONE
ALBATROSS in the group ahead of us. Great job kid!!!
Beautiful and challenging course!
I love playing here. The course is in great condition and can be challenging. Played here on a Tuesday morning and had no issues with pace of play.
Do yourself a favor and play this course
Top notch maintenance of this course. Friendly staff. Backdrop is insane! This course has everything that you could ask for, wide open uphill and down hill par 5s, water and 100 yard down hill par 3s and everything in-between. Elevation change and hills along the rough make it challenging. Bunkers were soft sand. Again, backdrop is worth every penny!
Solid Spot
This was my first time at Broad Run. Bag drop was super nice, the guy with the cool beard in the pro shop was cool. Ranger was cool and so was the cart girl. Pace of play was great and course was actually a bit challenging. Loved it though.
Nice Golf Course, Horrible Rental Clubs.
The golf course was nice, and greens were in good condition. I needed to rent clubs, since I travelled across country for a short family visit. The clubs were in such bad shape, that I don't believe a secondhand store would offer them for sale. A club with their reputation should never offer such poor-quality set and charge for it. The driver I was first offered had no grip. I sincerely hope someone in a position to make some changes should look into it and actually do something to make it right. My experience playing this course could have been much better.

Expected more
I will be upfront, the weather was not great, but there were some other issues that stuck out. Particularly the staff. Chris was somewhat unfriendly and lacking personality. I thought the layout was pretty cool. The course sits on a large piece of property, and has some really cool features. I wouldn't pay $70 plus to play it again. I've played better courses for cheaper. The greens were just slightly above average. Like I said earlier, I'm sure the course is in better shape when the weather is better. Seems like the course doesn't hold water very well. Overall I would give it 7 out of 10
