Course. In great shape. Pace of play can really slow

This course is one of my favorites. I’m from Virginia but always make a point to play this course when here to visit my family.

I’m in town for the week and playing some of the RTJ courses. This is comparable, if not better than the Oxmoor Valley course, (have not yet played Ridge or Ross Bridge yet), and half the price. I would absolutely go back to this one, pace was outstanding, and the course was in great shape. You get great value for your money here.

The reason for 4 stars on pace of play was no fault of the course. Paired with a 150 shooter and slow foursome in front of us. Between the 5 of them I think they shot 700

There had been loads of rain so cart path only was a bit slow and depending on the golfer can be frustrating. Overall Ballantrae is a really nice course and presents various challenges along the way.

My worse hole always is number 15… over water to the pin close to an incline next to water….

Loads of fun and difficulty depending on the hole.

Course was awesome! Great layout, challenging but not overpowering. Only two negatives.

Pace of play, for a course this nice they need a marshal out there. We had the worlds slowest twosome in front of my group, at one point there were 3 groups waiting on them to putt out and they were talking to the cart girl and generally good timing it. Lack of etiquette on their part but also something a marshal could take care of. Also it was cart path only but that’s not really the courses fault per se and was more of a necessity as they had a lot of rain the day before so everything was soggy. If’s recommend calling if there’s been a lot of rain and you don’t want to walk just to be sure. Other than that awesome course and I will be back!
