Twisted Dune Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Twisted Dune Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. Located right on the Jersey Shore, Twisted Dune Golf Club is popular for it's beautiful views and challenging game. The deep ravines and grassy hills provide picturesque scenery and they also create interesting hazards for a good game.
Twisted Dune Golf Club lives up to his name with its twisting links-style layout, elevation changes, and rolling fairways. The golf course has par-5 holes that stretch over 500 yards as well as several par-4's and par-3's. The course also has wide fairways and large greens of bent grass.

Worth the money!
Let’s face it, $99 dollars for a round of golf is expensive. That Ben said, when you play a track that is this well laid out and in such great shape, it’s worth every penny! The fairways were in great shape and the greens were well groomed and in perfect condition! Don’t miss this one!!
A gem of a golf course
Having played a number of the public courses within the Atlantic City vicinity I rate Twisted Dunes as the very best public course. The Archie Struthers course demands a certain amount of accuracy, the views are stunning, and several holes demand drives or fairway shots over mini-ravines. The only drawbacks to the course are serious sand traps that are very difficult to exit. They contain no fine white sand, but rather rough clay sand with towering and overhanging walls. It makes it very difficult to get under the ball to lift it high enough to get out. Once you have played the course several times you make a greater effort to avoid the traps altogether, sharpening your game in the process.
The greens are challenging with inviting nuances, demanding attention to reading the greens before you attempt your puts, similar to the better private courses around the country.
Travel between holes is on charming, well-maintained meandering dirt paths through low pine bushes. The beautiful vistas throughout this beautiful countryside add to the enormous charm of this magnificent course. In addition, the staff is most friendly and accommodating. The only minus is the non-caring playing public that refuses to fix their divots despite the fact that every cart is equipped with 2 botles of sand to accelerate the repair of the fairways. That's truly sad that the playing public at Twisted Dunes does not care enough to fix their own damage to this wonderful course.
good challenge
played on the hottest day of the year. really slowed played down. otherwise, any day golfing is better than being at work
Nice course, even better with a Hot deal
Twisted Dunes is definitely different than most South Jersey courses. A variety of hole layouts makes for a fun and challenging round. I was not aware that it is a BYOB course, but was happy to learn about it as I now know for next time.
Rates a little high for my liking, but considering it's close to the shore I was not surprised. Will definitely be back.
This course was nice e at one time
*this course was one of my favorites! I could no longer feel this way
*Lacking maintenance!
*No one seems to be concerned with the upkeep!
*The pictures are not even close to what it looks like!
*driving range in horrible shape, flags system are awful, Matt's look like they are 2nd hand
*we probably will not be back for a long time
Great Course Layout - Greens & Bunkers need work
Staff at Twisted is always super friendly. Driving range is rather weak and forces you to hit off mats. It's a spot to warm up at best.
Tee boxes were in okay shape but that is to be expected with all the play this course gets. We played the blue tees and some of the markers were at the back of the tee boxes leaving us little to no room to tee off. Fairways were in good shape overall with large landing areas. Those fairways and greens near water were a mess with due to the large number of Geese on the course.
On the first tee the starter told us how great the greens were how how good they were rolling. Greens are actually in rough shape and you could say very poor. Looked as if they recently had a disease or something. Tons of tiny pot holes, very slow and a bit hairy. Greens are covered with tons of tiny pebbles due to the green side bunkers being gravel pits.
We really like this course layout a lot and will most likely return again in the future. However, if greens remain in the current state...Twisted Dunes is not worth $50+ a round.
First to fill divots
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. However, it appears that I am possibly the only person to ever fill a divot that I created. Very difficult for the staff to enforce but makes a good course look shabby and not well maintained.. just a suggestion but get a hose and hose out the carts between uses. Takes 30 seconds.
Great course
The course is in great shape. The rough is difficult and the bunkers were super difficult. Great fun!
