Beautiful course ruined
Just under 6 hour round, saw a sixsome coming off 18 as we made the turn. Dead spots all over the greens, looked like footprints that were maybe a 1/8 inch deeper than the rest of the green. As a result was probably the worst putting surfaces I've played in 10 years of golfing. Leaves and seed pods all over the greens as well, for 78 bucks a round you think they could hire a guy with a leaf blower. Beautiful course ruined by poor/lack of maintenance. Save your money, play somewhere else.
One of the best golf course I've play around Seattle !
Excellent lay out ! very difficult but fair, fairway in best conditions, the green in excellent shape and true, it'll make you thinks before you hit the shot and with GolfNow hot deal ! I can't asking for any better deal than this.I have lot of fun and will certainly go back to play this course again very soon.
Boring...
The course is in very good condition, but if it's not a sunny day, then it's quite boring scenery with no view of Mt. Rainer at all.....
Great golf layout and beautiful setting.
Course was in good shape. A great test for all skill levels. The mountain views from the holes were spectacular.
Great views and conditions
Must know the course as you have to play to target areas on the course to score well. Download the individual hole reviews, they are helpful.
Druids is challenging but a great course to play.
Well maintained course with enough water and bunkers to make shot selection and course management an important factor in your play.
Very nice course, several interesting holes.
I only wish the weather had been nicer so I could have enjoyed the views of Mt. Rainier. Challenging course, with rough that makes one pay for not keeping the ball in the fairway.
Great layout - challenging but fair
Despite cold, rainy, and windy weather the course faired will only a few soggy areas. New pub was well done and the food was great.
Needs a little TLC to be considered one of the better courses.
They need to take care of a few issues, ie: water hazards, traps, drainage. They also removed GPS from the carts so better yardage markers are needed on the fairways.
Really Nice Track!
With all the heavy rains we've had recently, I was pleasantly surprised at how dry most of the course was! Greens were also rolling pretty true.... Definitely will be back, especially with the hot deal prices golfnow.com offers!
Early Season
The greens had been aerified 11 days earlier and were rounding into shape, but still bumpy and on the slow side. This course has some challenging elevation changes and water which comes into play on 7 holes. Course was still a little wet due to past weather. Looks like it will be in great shape this year once summer comes along.
Challenge good course
The course was still under spring time maintenance. Slow sand green. No markers for distance and I forgot my GPS and range finder, some shredded grasses were still on fairway. But who care, it was still a good course, good price, my friend and I still enjoyed the round.
My favorite public course needs some TLC!
Shocked to find my favorite upscale public course and clubhouse in really rough condition!
New owners? Financial trouble? What happened to the great restaurant?
No starter? Slow play and no marshall?
At the turn we ordered hot dogs and the said "we don't have any buns!" What! No dog at the turn? We settled for dry turkey sandwiches. After our round we sat down for a beer and decided to order some food. When our server came and we ordered nachos, she said "we don't have chicken, you have to order beef." Huh? What else are you out of?
Elk droppings everywhere with huge hoof prints all over the middle of the fairway. The tee boxes were full off moss (no grass to be found?) and littered with broken tees. The traps hadn't been raked for days. Late in our round we saw 2 greens keepers sweeping the sand off the recently sanded greens. They definitely saw us coming up. When I shouted "we're coming up" they finally got off the green! Next shot, the greens keeper stood sweeping directly between the flag and my sons chip shot? What? When I asked him if we could have the green for a moment, he responded "don't worry, I can see." They reluctantly left the green and stood on the edge of the green right in sight, like a spectator, and staired us down while we putted. Weird!
Seemed like Kenwanda or Carnation. Maybe pay on the honor system? Not my favorite course. I hope they can get it together.
Had planned on making this my home course for the season! No way!
I could go on and on. Kind of depressing.
Tried to treat my son to a great afternoon. Pretty disappointed.
It was suppose to rain...
But it didn't rain a drop! There were very few players on the course in the morning. Our foursome was 2 holes ahead of the next closest group the entire day. Lots of time to hit a second shot or two (or three). Cart path only is not alot of fun and adds time to the round, but since it came with the tee time price........
Always enjoy playing this course.
Greens in remarkable shape for winter
Overall the course is in good shape. Only a couple fairways were wet enough for the ball to plug, but many fairways actually gave some roll. The greens were firm and quick, must be from covering them in the evenings. They are remodeling the restaurant but they still have a full menu and bar. Highly recommend, especially for the $20 price I got.
Great Deal for a Challenging Course
Mid February is typically too wet to play most courses in the NW. Druid's drained pretty well, especially for how many water features were on the course. I will play it again for sure and will reccomend to my friends.
solid layout
I enjoyed playing this course. The holes are well designed and interesting. It is a good test of golf without being punishing, especially from the standard tees. It was a very good value using the golf now rate. I think it is one of the best public courses in the Seattle-Tacoma region.
any day golfing beats working hands down
The course is well taken care of despite wet conditions.its a perfect course for winter golf in washington
Discounted price makes it worth the hassle
Busy Sunday morning with no starter. Man in the pro shop told me not to be late (I checked in 45 minutes early) even though tee times were 15 minutes behind. Pace of play was slow at just over 5 hours with no ranger.
Winter conditions so course isn't expected to be in great shape but the greens were very bumpy. Unfortunately, this is what I've experienced every time I've played here over the past 10 years. At $20, the course was a good value. At their regular summer price, there are other courses that provide better value. Very good design, but overall experience is always lacking.
beautiful, but tough
We got a great time at a great price, but our round seemed to go on forever. Over 5 hours. We were constantly waiting for the foursome ahead of us who were waiting on the foursome ahead of them, etc. etc.
