Battle Ground Golf Club

Got sent off the back nine behind some club members but were allowed to play through and pace of play was great rest of the way. A thoroughly enjoyable round at a great price on a quality course.

I've played this course plenty of times and haven't had a bad experience here. My dad and I like to come out to Battle Ground and get a 9 hole walk in after work. The course has plenty of trees and bunkers to challenge you, and the rough is usually pretty hearty but nothing too thick. Overall it's a very fun course to play, with a great layout, and a friendly staff.

Course was in great condition. Was met by a welcoming staff. Ranger informed us - we had beginners 2 holes in front of us. When we got to the 3rd hole- they were waiting on us to play through. Hats off to course and staff. We had a great day!

Enjoyed a quick round as well played during the week. Overall the course was in great shape, the forward tee boxes were a little chewed up but greens and fairways were in great shape.

The course is challenging yet not so tough a beginner can't enjoy the game. My wife and I played 18 we had a wonderfull round.

An excellent course. Fairways very accommoating,but with enough bunkers to make a challenge. Five sets of tee boxes will challenge any level of play. Stall very friendly and courteous. Soon to be played again.

The course offers a challenge from all tees.. Well bunkered and water hazards will add to your shot making skills.. I played from the tips which plays at about 7000 yards, but is still scorable. Overall nice course and facilities.

I've played this course 4-5 times and always found it in really good condition. We played it from the tips and it's challenging but doesn't "beat you up". The course has 5 sets of tee markers so you can tailor it to your own game. Most of the holes have generous landing areas and the greens putted really smooth with nice pace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The course has a wonderful practice area. Arrive early enough to hit some range balls and use their chipping area too.

I played as a single so it was slower than normal. The rough was long and thick. Pace might have been a little quicker if this was mowed down just a bit closer.

Normal rate for this $36.00. We played for a discounted rate through golf now. The course is well maintained and always in good shape. The bunkers arent the best, but they are better than most courses in this area. I play this course alot and enjoy it every time.

The course was in great condition. I spent a good amount of time here as a high schooler and it even has seemed to improve upon my memories. However, the course grouped my twosome with another online-registered twosome without my knowledge, even when the course was not busy. The ranger stressed the importance of keeping proper pace, but was not seen on the course after the first teebox. Multiple groups were stacking up at teeboxes due to inexperienced foursomes that the ranger should have sorted out. We probably spent between an hour and an hour and a half over 18 holes waiting on teeboxes. Other than not being able to establish a rhythm, the course looked lovely and provided a challenge from the back tees.

I had a fun time. I'll strongly recommend this place.

This was a great value and a very good course. The times this deal was offered was perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and even let us start an hour late since my partner got hung up in traffic.

The course had it's challenges but the rough was too long and thick with no intermediate rough8/25/2-13

I enjoy this course and the people who work there. I have played it about a dozen times now and have always been pleased with both the condition of the course and the service.

Made reservations a couple hours in advance. Everyone was nice and we were able to go off as a twosome which was very good since my girlfriend hadn't played in years and I am just getting back into it myself. Made for a relaxing round of golf. The marshal was attentive to us and let us know to start on back nine and then came by after 6 holes to tell us when done go to 1st hole. All in all we totally enjoyed our time and was $45. for both of us greens fee and cart. not bad at all.

I have played many rounds at Battle Ground over the past 17 years. Pleased to report it is in very good shape and that the current staff (both in the clubhouse and those taking care of the course) are doing an excellent job.

It has been a good year for growing grass, for sure, but many were concerned about what would happen to BG's conditioning when it became Lafayette's muni this year. Not sure how many more rounds they've had than normal, or what the budget is for keeping the course nice, but they are getting the job done in 2013.

Battle Ground is not a visual stunner, being mostly flat and fairly straightforward. It is a very good test of golf, though. The small greens will test the short game, and the par 3s have always been pretty salty from either of the back two sets of tees. Add in a generally quick pace of play, and you get a good value for the dollar.

This was my first time playing this course. I always heard good things and was not disappointed. We played on a Sun morning and rode. WHEN i play next time I will gladly walk the course. It would be an easy walk and the course is beautiful. I will look forward to my round there next time.

Course was very crowded the day I played. They had a "ranger" who was really just a starter since I never saw him after the 1st tee. Perhaps if he was a Ranger he could have sped up the pace of play for some large groups in front, including 2-3 groups that were apparently playing a scramble and 1 group that had a walker early afternoon on a weekend!
