Golfer Reviews
Worth the Round and close to Homs.
The course was in good shape for this time of year and the pace was good.
Abysmal Condition Golf Course
I have played this golf course a number of times in the past and never experienced the dog-track that it has now turned into during my recent round in March 2021. The cratered fairways with no grass growth, the sanded tee boxes that were on slanted angles, and the greens that made you feel like you were on the moon should be an embarrassment to this city course. To charge the fee that it does, is not only a crime but a joke. If you are a better player, beware and play elsewhere. I found my self begging to get off of the course at the 9th hole. Not worth the time and money. Never again.
Gone Downhill
I've been playing this course for decades and always enjoyed this well laid out "Muni" I was shocked at how the course has deteriorated in the past few years and apologized repeatedly to my friends for booking the tee time. Never again until the quality is improved. Greens were horrible, fairways weedy, just a goat track now. Sad. What's going on in NYC???
Cow Pasture
They charge $72 for this course should be a felony. Nothing good to say at all except that if it were managed by anyone that cared any bit, it would be a good experience. Fairway to green, I've been to better dog parks. The fairways are atrocious the greens even worse. I expect this from anything managed by NYC, though.
Dog track
I kept looking for the Greyhounds but couldn’t find any.Greens looked like the highway after a winter thaw with potholes
A review to remember...
I would rather not play golf EVER again than deal with the staff, or course that is Clearview.
We are in a global pandemic and they force golfers to share golf carts. They want strangers or friends to not follow social distancing. It’s one thing if covid wasn’t killing people and we were in normal times. But we are not.
ALSO, the fairways were somewhat similar to a persons back yard. Non existent.
A lot more courses around nyc. Pick them
The course was in fair condition except for the greens which were in poor condition. It was hard to put without chnaging your line to adovid hole in the green where the ball would hop to the hole
WORST COURSE IN NY
We had a 6:30am Tee time, and didnt leave the course until 10:30am. There was only 1 group infront of us. my Group was a threesome with an average handicap of 10. We all play fairly well. Why did we spend 4 hours on an easy course at 6am, because the starter had a group of 7 infront of us. This was ridiculous. Not only that, but the course conditions were garbage. Could not tell if you were in the fairway or the rough, seems like no maintenance was done here all season. Divots on the greens werent even divots they were craters. Will never be coming back.
