Golfer Reviews
Golfnow issue... but course took care of it!
Booked through GolfNow and they double booked me. Thankfully the staff was score to accommodate us.
The course wasn’t great shape and pace of play wasn’t great.
Course conditions
While the staff was friendly and doing their best under the Covid circumstances, the course was in remarkably bad condition....no putting, really....and fairway grass a mess. We had a good time, but I would have to think twice about returning for the golf. Course needs lots more care.
More green than brown these days
Price included cart. Haven't played here in 20 years and I did notice it was more green than brown nowadays, but that's probably due to reduced play this season. They just can never manage to get the course in good shape and overplay doesn't help. It's on the short side and forgiving and is fine in a pinch.
Cleaeview October ‘20
Clearview is a relatively long and decent course except for the greens which were in poor condition . The pace of play was very good and we started our round a few minutes early. . I will return next spring.
Decent course...typical city standards
Its not worst than Dyker, but its not great. Sand on the greens, no such thing as rough, or fairways for that matter. Its just grass + weeds. Greens were challenging and hilly, liked that aspect. If Dyker is the worst, this is second. Staff is friendly.
Clearview Golf Course
Poor conditions, greens are in horrible shape. Good luck trying to make a putt
J
Course should have been maintained during coronavirus period but it wasnt. Tee boxes are OK but greens are in terrible shape with weeds and bumps—- greens have not been aerated yet either
Terrible condition
For what you pay, it’s definitely not worth it. The course was in terrible condition, all of the greens (with the exception of 2 or 3) were bumpy and impossible to read, the fairways were full of weeds and terribly maintained, and a fair number of the staff were rude.
The course has an ok layout, but has nothing remotely resembling a dogleg and all of the holes are crammed together. Don’t waste your money.
Poor Green/Fairway Maintenence
Greens were pitted and dry, fairways were half dry brown grass. Would not play again for 50 dollars.
In Poor Condition
Fairways are mostly crabgrass w many bare spots. No rough to speak of just more crab grass.
Tee boxes in the same condition
Greens in the worst condition I’ve ever seen on a legit golf course. Bare spots, crab grass, etc. Putt the ball and wonder where it may go depending g on what it hits on the way to the cup.
A shame they let this once decent golf course become so bad!
It is a nice location, good exercise if one walks. However, most greens and fairways are not well maintained. One green, which granted is well shadowed was impossible to put on.
