Challenging layout, windy, needs love
I enjoy playing here. It’s still got construction going on here and there and is a public course without deep pockets. That said, there are very few trees and it has a wind swept dunes feel that’s unusual and quite beautiful. It’s long from the tips and if the wind is blowing, as it has been this spring, this course will challenge anyone. Wide fairways though and few lost balls. Fun course. Laid back vibe to the whole place. I keep coming back to Marine Park.
Course was ok.
1. Had a golf cart which the brake would not lock when pressed.
2. Front nine seemd to be aerated
3. Weeds going in some of the fairways
4. Other than that it was a beautiful day to be playing.....
Bad shape
Tee boxes a mess greens in bad shape. In spite of this they don't warn you if aeration nor do they give a discount. $20 for a cart that kept stalling and had no windshield.
Greens just aerated
Played Marine today for the first time in 2 years. I love the course but was welcomed with a sign stating greens were being aerated today and tomorrow. I have no issue as I know it must be done but Tee Off had no alert. Course was rough front nine much better back. Tomorrow the back gets done so stay away for a few weeks,
Windy day
I love the course and the Changes being done to the course. The person maintains the course is constantly making improvements. When the 19th hole is open the food taste great.
Marine Park
Great course, but certainly challenging. Long holes. No short par 3s. It was windy too when we played so added another layer of difficulty.
Great condition
The course was in excellent condition compared to other public courses in the city. Only problem was being stuck behind multiple slow moving groups playing through would have been useless. Besides that it is a great course a few challenging greens and very well kept.
WHAT A DUMP
Golf carts, cart paths, tee boxes and fairways are all crap. The course does have an interesting layout which was the only saving grace. Until they actually renovate this place, I recommend you play elsewhere.
Good Time
For my first round of golf this season I thought the course was in good condition and the greens rolling fairly. They’re making some nice improvements so when the season is in full swing should get better and better. Rangers did a nice job of moving a slower group ahead of us along.
