Marine Park Golf Course

It was a great day on the golf course.

Course conditions were great even after all the rain we had. This course always drains well. Cart girl was riding around all day.. They even had a barbecue going rocking hot dogs, burgers and beers...

I usually dont play this course on a weekend or in this case a holiday. But by the time we hit the 15th hole, there were 3 groups waiting to tee off on 10. Dont know if it was just a busy day, or the crazy pin placements that cause this. Some reason there were many blue pin placements in the back just a maybe 2 yds from the 1st cut.... I play fast and these placements were pace killers... my groups pace of play was 4:45.

Can’t beat it for the price on weekdays. Pace of play great in the afternoon. Walked and no back up on any holes.

My new go-to course in NYC (especially in Brooklyn). Long, tough greens, but plays fair!

Nice Sunday afternoon. Perfect weather, if not for the wind.

Slow pace of play. Got backed up on the second tee and it was bumper cars for the rest of the round.

Nice staff, Starter was cracking the whip, which checks out.

Great course. You have to ride as a twosome to get a new cart otherwise you’re stuck riding a lousy cart.

This course has the potential to be great, but right now it's not in great shape at all. The grass is not growing, which is odd because other courses on Long Island have lush, rich grass growing. Rubble may be found everywhere, especially cart paths. Fairways have lots of wounds from unrepaired divots. It looks like some work is being done to create mounds and moguls, but the grass is not growing and it's not attractive to say the least. The only good thing were the greens, which rolled very well and were very hard. If more $ are put into this course to bring it back, it will be great, but right now... not so good.

Marine Park is one of the nicest NYC courses to play. Greens are in good shape and run quick. Wind ALWAYS seems to be blowing hard there so be prepared! It's great on a hot day, but makes the front 9 holes a real challenge (especially the first 3 when you are usually playing into the wind). Not really any trees so you can really work the ball. Note that they are always working to improve the course so there are some dirt mounds between holes where they are trying to grow grass. Also the carts are in horrible shape, but I really could care less as long as they get me from point A to point B! Not a bad walking course either as it is extremely flat, but I don't think they rent push carts, unfortunately. Definitely worth the trip out there if you have a car or want to jump on the bus (Q35) which will drop you off right out front!

This is a beautiful course just started playing here it’s the best course in Brooklyn. Love it if u can get here it’s a must play. Course is in great shape and well kept up with. I don’t have and complaints. I will be playing this course every week
