Great course
Marine Park is probably the nicest course in the area. The pace of play is great, tee boxes are in good shape, and the fairways & greens are well-maintained. There are some fun and challenging holes. The staff, with the exception of the starter who will do everything he can to try to make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, are very friendly and great at their jobs. Don’t let the starter dissuade you from coming here though. You only have to interact with him for a couple minutes. I definitely recommend this course.
hot buggy day
A hot day, but still busy, had four fours in front. The bugs were out biting through socks and shirts, even with a breezy links course
Well kept greens, avg fairways, good layout
Very friendly staff, including the cart girl and the cafeteria. The course is a nice setup with some blind tees and doglegs. Greens were in really good condition throughout but the fairways are between avg and poor.
Under construction.. but a good round
Had a good time, friendly staff .. FAST greens! Looks like they are doing upgrades..
Decent for the price
$42 to walk was not terrible. The course is a little longer in the back than the front so I little more effort once already tired. I would recommend a cart unless you are young and in-shape. The greens are in decent shape but the fairways have some weeds scattered all over. The location can't be beat though considering I live in the 5 boroughs and don't want to dive across a bridge to staten island and long island is far.
Greens are very good
Course is looking better with updates over the past few years, growing in. Carts and cart paths need replacement. Fun, long course to play.
Smoky
The air quality alert was on point, smoky haze made it hard to track shots. The conditions also limited the player traffic, so a decent round, even with holes with areas under construction.
Great place for power hitter
The distance is long for a public course and the fairway is wide so you could hit a ball as hard as you can.
The green is one of the most difficult I have ever play in a public golf course but it’s really interesting.
