winter golf
A windy day on a links course, not easy. There are holes under construction on back nine, should be better at the start of the season.
Excellent course to play on a surprisingly nice day
Booked this on a Sunday in February when the weather hit shockingly beautiful low 50s and sunny. Highly recommend - awesome course and staff. Beautiful location and design, conditions were excellent considering it was February
winter golf
The course normally drains well, but so much rain overnight lefy fairway puddles. The greens growing back after aerating
Very nice course. Friendly staff very friendly food was too expensive. I read it the golf course excellent because of the shape it was in. I would play here again and again thanks
winter golf
The course was almost empty, winter golf is for die hards, so I was able to walk it in 3-3:30 hrs. They are still under construction for several holes on the back nine.
Front 9 good shape but last 4 on the back are a mess as they are doing construction. Lots of mud and tractor tread damage. But good condition for mid January
Fantastic course excellent employees but it’s too expensive from November to the end of March
Fantastic course excellent employees but it’s too expensive from November to the end of March . Jeff in the pro shop is a really nice man and ivery accommodating
Winter golf
A 1:40pm tee time is maybe 11-15 holes before dark. The course set for winter golf dual cups/pins on still aerated greens
Awful staff and amenities
Staff are very rude, especially the starter
Golf cars are worse than a soviet tractor
Fairways were totally dried out
Pace of play is very bad
Patrons have no golf etiquette
Back 9 needs work
Overall good condition. Played in a 4 sone and it took less than 4 hours. But back 9 in desperate need to attention as they are doing work and many parks are a muddy mess
Good condition for winter
Good condition for the winter. Played early on Dec morning and greens were bumpy but still relatively quick. Only bad - actually - horrible hole was 15th as it was used for a movie set in Nov and was largely dirt.
Most unprofessional, nasty starter I’ve met in my life
An otherwise solid day of golf was completely ruined by the attitude of the starter. We stopped by the pro shop ahead of our tee time, and the starter was finishing up talking to the pro shop cashier. The starter got our names while we were there and said we were good to meet up with the other two we were paired with who were at the box already. We wrapped up, and he went out to his little post outside. Fast forward literally 3 minutes, and we’re walking by him and wave and he starts shouting at us. Said “HELLO” aggressively probably 5 or 6 times because we figured he was talking to someone else. We turned around to ask if he was talking to us, and he said, “Hello, yes, I’m the starter, nice to meet you. Has either of you ever played golf before?” We’re beyond confused at this point, so he says we can’t just “waltz on by” without checking in. We told him we talked to him less than 5 minutes ago, and he said we’re good to meet our pair. He told us he talks to people all day but to go ahead and try not to hold up the course too much. Mind you, there is nobody on this course because it’s December.
I will never come back to this course. There are enough other courses nearby that won’t charge as much and will have way better customer service (which isn’t a high bar). This guy shouldn’t be within a 50-yard radius of people, let alone speaking to them for his job. Needs to find a new line of work for his sake. Can’t imagine how miserable of a life that is.
Outside of him, the 2 people we were paired with were great. The pace of play was solid since it was in the thirties. The course is in kind of rough shape, but that’s to be somewhat expected this time of year. However, there are multiple areas with massive dirt mounds at the moment, and the course is riddled with goose poop. Greens and tee boxes are in pretty good shape, though.
Lastly, for reference for the course, this was the morning of 12/10/22. Didn’t catch his name, but he was taller and had the most ridiculous yellow scarf(?)/neckwear I’ve ever seen.
Course is almost unfair when it’s 15mph winds. Tons of geese crap everywhere. It’s links and you can find your ball 99% time
