About
Editor's Note: Course has been closed and redeveloped as Spy Ring Golf Course.
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

The greens were fast and beautiful !
I thought everything wa professional and Jimmi Conway treated our foursome like we were somebody special . Had a great time .
Great course but closing
Awesome course! But closing December 1st, will be teeing off tommorow ( November 30th) for last time, won't be the same after condos go up. It's been a great run, thanks to the starters and everybody involved thru the years in running the course, especially Brian for keeping the course in great shape thru summer and winter...
Clean course
Surprised how clean the course was from leaves this late in the fall season. Good layout and pace of play was decent.
Great Executive Course
All par 3’s and 4’s. Very challenging. Course in great shape.
Will Miss this course!!!
We will miss having this course as it shuts down for the construction of condos. I hope the 9 hole course that emerges is similar but it will not be the same as having 18 to play.
Great course
It is a shame this course is closing Dec 1. To be replaced by apartment buildings. It will be missed
Windy day at Heatherwood
Even with 25+ mile an hour winds all in all a great day. The greens were great and the fairways were mowed to perfection.
Good Golf
Great way to get a quick 18 holes in in under 4 hours.
Very slow pace
Had to stop playing after 15 holes the pace was so slow it took over four hours to play 15 holes the golf course should only take 3-3:15 hours to play because of the length will not go back to play
