About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

Always in great shape
This course is always in great shape. Great for busy people, can usually get a round done in 3 hours. Too bad that it is going to be reduced to 9 holes for condos. It will be missed.
In great shape
The course is in seriously great shape. I guess it doesn’t get much play but it should. Go play this course before 9 holes gets sold off for condo’s. It’s a Long Island gem that you can always go play a quick round.
Fun, cheap course. Great for beginners.
I would definitely recommend using the Golfnow app when booking this course, I’ve paid as little as $18 before and never more than $25. The maintenance men and proshop people were all friendly. I found the course itself to be very well kept (fairways and greens). It’s definitely a short course, lots of par 3s and 4s (no par 5s), but very fun, not to challenging, and a good course if you need to work on your short game. Also, pace of play was great the last two times I went, you can shoot the course in 3 hours if you don’t get out behind any slow parties. 5/5 would recommend.
Grandson Intro to golf
Great course for beginner and those who are not long ball hitters. Course was in great shape. Staff great. Only critique is markings and cart paths, had to ask directions to 10th hole and 14 hole since have not played there recently. 14th hole was right in front of us, but there was nothing on the tee that said 14.

Course is in great shape. Very challenging for an executive course. Looking forward to playing here again. Great value for the price.
Nice Course
Enjoyable Round, course was in good condition, pace of play was good, some challenging holes, plenty of par 3s, got to use all of my clubs, staff was friendly, what more can I say , will definitely play here again.
Worthwhile
Great deal on Golfnow.
A leisurely 4-4.5 hour round, for $45 including the cart.
Can’t go wrong for a bogey golfer.
1 down side, no par 5’s, longest hole is almost 400.

No Rain
Finally stopped raining this week. Rolled the dice with the tee time of 3:00PM. Sun came out, little or no wind. PERFECT weather. The course was in PERFECT condition for a course that usually gets a lot of play. Rainy week kept everyone away. Greens were a little slow as expected. As usual could have played better :)
