Heatherwood Golf Club

About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

A Long Island Gem
Great course to practice your short game. However, there are at least 4 challenging par 4 holes. By no means are the par 3s easy. Course is always in great shape and beautifully laid out.
Good to work on your short game
Great little local place to practice your short game. Be prepared for some people with no golf etiquette. The greens are good and the staff is pleasant
Nice course but some holes number not marked
Enjoyed playing but there was no signs giving direction to next hole and some holes had no number.
Enjoyable round
Nice course in very good condition , nice layout, great place to work on your irons, I definitely will play here again.
Return to the Past
Enjoyed a nice round, albeit a bit slow at the course that I first took my son to play! It was great to be back there with him and see how much he has progressed in his game. The course was in great shape as usual, greens well manicured and tee boxes nice and tidy!
We had heard that the course was going over to condos and wanted to make sure we got a round in before the bulldozers tore it up! I hope that was just a rumor and that things fell through on the deal because Heatherwood remains a great place to "cut your teeth" without being intimidated at a "full-size" course.
Great course. Magnificent greens Stanley is a True charm
Highly recommend. Very efficient staff. From the starter who welcomes you with a huge smile. Then Stanley a true legacy welcomes you in the Pro Shop. The players are extremely friendly and you leave the course feeling great.
Nice course
The course is nice with enough par 3's and par 4's
Great Short 18 Hole Course
This is a fantastic short 18 hole course. The fairways are in great condition with no divot marks. I caused more divots than all the other rounds prior to me
The greens are in perfect condition with very few signs of damage from ball marks.
The only negative is the bunkers. They need to replenish the sand and cut the edges of the bunkers.
This week is the attack of the CATERPILLARS!
During this next week beware that there are thousands of Caterpillars coming out of the trees.
Other than that I recommend the course.
nice fairways
If you have a hot deal price for the round dont get there to early they dont let you go out until 30 min before your tee time i was there 1:15 min and there and nobody was teeing off for a half hour and they made me wait FYIbut a nice short game cousre
Resorts World Catskills Stay & Play Package

going from four to five, tee box nine is next to tee box five and you can be confused for a second, but every other hole is just one after the other and you cant get lost. play there on a regular basis. every tee box is next to the previous green
