About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

The course is great for the price. Excellent to work on your short game. I had the luxury of playing during the rainy and windy conditions from the hurricane( tropical storm). There was no one but me when I got there. I played 10 holes in an hour and 15. Then the wetness got the better of me. Even though I only played 11 holes it was well worth it. I felt like the priest from caddyshack. No lightning of course. Two thumbs up.

Good to practice your Irons because it is mostly a par three course. was fun for its design would and will play again
Heatherwood Long Island
Heatherwood was my 144th course lifetime. Good condition with a flat front nine and hilly back nine. Course conditioning could be better. Nice layout and staff was cordial and professional.
Great value for your buck
Very fun course. I was out here visiting some friends and figured I'd play a round of golf, why not. GREAT value for the course they have. It's a semi-fast pace because it's a very short course. A lot of par 3's. No par 5's. Fun course for amateur golfers looking to have some fun with friends and get a quick round in or for those working on their short game. Staff was friendly, the conditions were perfect, no complaints. I didn't eat there so I can't rate the restaurant/bar.

A Great Place Learn
Heatherwood Golf Club is a great place for a beginner to intermediate player. The staff was extremely friendly and the conditions were above average. The greens were very soft and forgiving. I would recommend stopping by Tj Halpin's after your round to enjoy a burger. The burgers were delicious and the staff was friendly.

Course is in excellent shape. Played 18 in just under 4 hours.
Gypsy Moths
Course is short but interesting with interesting greens. Pin placement offers challenges for your putting skills. My two complaints are the literal millions of gypsy moths that have infested the course killing many of the trees and making it near impossible to swing a club without some disturbance by them. Hopefully they won't be as numerous as the summer goes on. Also fair rating on amenities due to the dated and deteriorating facilities. I understand there is also a bar/restaurant at night but restrooms could use some sprucing up on and off course.
Great executive course
First time I played an executive course and I had a great time. The course was in great shape and pace of play was excellent. If you're looking to hone in on your iron game this is a great venue. They're only about 45 par 4's, but still enjoyed the course
Great course for practice and beginners
Course is in excellent shape. Perfect for new golfers learning the game or golfers who want to practice using there irons. Greeting staff in pro shop was not friendly and seemed to resent golf now customers who had a discount.
Decent Course
A well kept executive course, nothing special in terms of layout but conditions of the greens are very good and fairways are above average. Good course for those who want to work on their irons and short game and get a quick round in.

Course was in o.k.condition, I have seen it in better condition. 1st couple of holes had mulched leaves hard to find ball off fairways.fairways were in good shape. greens were o.k.
Nice course...5 hour round
The course was in great condition. We enjoyed the round. Unfortunately the round took 5 hours to play. I will try again on a weekday. Hopefully the round will go quicker.
Always in great shape
For this time of the year, the course was in very good condition. No leaves to contend with & the greens were very fast. A nice round on a beautiful day.

Fun course for an executive course. Par 3's are legitamite 150 yds to 200 yareds. Par 4's are decent also. Greens are big with a lot of bends.

Very interesting short courses
After playing here, I've got the confidence to play well in any kind of short and middle holes. If you play here you become to know the reason why I say as such. Short but very nice!
