About
Editor's Note: Course has been closed and redeveloped as Spy Ring Golf Course.
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

Short Course, But Still A Nice Challenge
The course is a 18 hole executive course but much better than any traditional executive course you may have played prior. Holes range from 120 - 380 yards and the greens are the challenge. The course was in very good condition with only a few spot having a bunch of leaves making it hard to find balls. The greens are generally large, but they were very quick and true and if you find yourself on the wrong side of any green, a 3-putt awaits. Overall, for the $$ it's a nice course to practice your irons and short game and plays quicker than your traditional 18 hole course (just over 3 hours).
Always slow play
Nice Easy course. Would love to playtime often but have never been on this course without painfully slow play. Did not finish. pace of play always frustrating
Challenging your Irons
Was paired up with someone who was familiar with course; had a great time. The course is challenging and you must be able to hit your irons accurately. Will play again and recommend course.
This was a great hot deal!!
Fun little course
I play this course often because its near my job so I can play early and then head to work. The course is usually in pretty good shape. They take care of the greens the best they can but nobody fixes ball marks so the guys are always a little behind. Pace is usually slow because the starter has his regulars and wont let you play if your in early and hes waiting for them to show up. This guy is always a pain in the butt. Other than that its a great course that you should be able to have some fun on. Bring food and beverage because the snack stand is rarely open.
Greens R rollin
It's in better shape than some private courses. It's a hidden gem
A+
Great coarse if you dont have much time. Coarse is ALWAYS in GREAT shape. KUDOS to John, Jimmy and Brian. LOVE IT
Great course for the regular weekend golfer
This course always has open slots. The course is beautiful and always well maintained. Only bad thing I could say is it's a short 18 hole course. No par 5s but has a nice mix of par 3s and 4s. Overall a great course but if you're looking for those bi par 5s this isn't the course for you. Not that hard but still very challenging. Only one water hazard by plenty of very difficult bunkers on every hole. One of my personal favorite courses.
Good Deal
Love Heatherwood because its local and usually a fair price
nice par 60 course
nice short course for beginners and better players looking to improve their short game. all will enjoy.
Never again
Will never go back to this course, the pace was terrible
Great day!
Had a terrific round. The fact that it was so hot that there were few golfers out playing midday made pace of play very relaxed and enjoyable!
A great learner course
Heatherwood is a great course for those that want relatively quick play (mostly par 3s) as long as you don't get caught behind a slow group. I have only been playing for a year and this was my first time playing this course. I found it just right in difficulty for beginners although the fairways are relatively narrow. Be prepared to lose a few golf balls. For the price, it was a fantastic value. I will definitely play Heatherwood again.
Nice course
Great deal.
Convenient for a quick late afternoon round.
Poorly Maintained after storm.
I've played this course before but yesterday we had a hard time finding balls with all the branches and leaves littering the course. The greens and fairway were good but the rest looked like a tornado came through. There were many trees down and branches all over.
Heatherwood rocks
Beautifully maintained executive course, lots of fun. Spectacular greens. Play a quick 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours and use every club in the bag, although you will only need the driver once or twice.
Fun round
Nice course to work on your irons. Greens in great shape. Finished in just over 3 hrs. Course kind of empty due to 90+ degree weather.
Great bar by clubhouse
Great little course and pace of play is fine earlier in the day but come twilight it can be slow. Greens always in great shape and the bar by the clubhouse has great food and always friendly staff. Always a good time at Heatherwood!!
Customer Support
The starter and staff were very helpfull. I actually had to reschedule my tee time and it was done. The cart paths could use some work. The pace of play was quick.
