Improving
Haven't played here in a few years. They seemed to have solved the drainage issues on a few of the holes. The fairways and greens were in good shape. Vast improvement of how it use tobe at this facility. Now if the could only fix holes one and three so you don't feel like you need a sherpa to go up this montain side.
Short but tough
Nice course. Some impossible to reach par 4's. Short par 4's. 5,800 yards. You will use most of the clubs in your bag.
Challenging but fair
It definitely helps to know the course. Many spots where course management is vital. Greens are in great shape and roll true. Take the time to read the green as the breaks are more than they look at first glance.
Manage your shots and you'll score.
Staff
The staff was very friendly and the course was in great condition for the amount of rain we received in the days before
Lots of hills makes it challenging
Great course, very nice guys at check in. Played in 3 hours flat. Course was in very good condition, greens a little slow, but overall we had a very good time.
mountain goat
club house and views are great.plays more like 6500 yards than the 5600 listed.hard to find the flags because they are all black. most greens are hard so it is difficult to hold the greens.took about 1 hr. from kingston,ny to the course.will give it another try latter in the year.it is an experience, give it a try
This course has summer features
Due to drainage issue I would recommend this course I late spring though the fall
Sand traps were not maintained very well, hard packed sand. Good thing I was only in one # 11 par 3
Great Course
I have played here several times. I am a senior citizen and it was great to get such a discount at such a great and very well kept course. I would recommend to anyone
Carts have gps. Helpful staff. Tough hills.
Some holes are very, very uphill and some greens require putting steep up hills. Expect ball returning back to you if not struck accurately. Hole #1 & #3 . Owners are putting a lot of $$$ into this course, and it shows the improvements
dreat mtn.course
Very friendly and a challenging course. if you like mtn. courses this is for you.
relaxing course
moderate difficulty, up and down fairways, tough greens , but very enjoyable experience. just the right length for senior golfere
Falkirk Estate Review
Great value for the money, course in good shape. Very hilly, need a cart. Pace was quick, about 4.5 hours for 18.
Bar and lunch after was great. Service awesome.
Highly recommend!!!
Very short
Course is very short and narrow. Greens are sloped like a mini-golf course, and are very hard. Approach shots that land on the green bounce and roll off. The layout is set-up for short hitters. No driving range, and a small practice green. Staff is friendly, and course looks nice, but is not very exciting
Hills
While the course is not long,, many (but not all) fairways are narrow, adding to the challenge. Most holes are up hill or downhill with many side hill lies. Some blind shots. The course played harder than what I expected from looking at the scorecard.
Some very nice views. The greens and fairways are in very good condition.
Electric golf carts equipped with great GPS systems.
We played on a Tuesday afternoon and the course was not crowded. There are just two sets of tees (white and red) and they are relatively close to each other.
The restaurant has a small menu. They were unable to provide some selections because they were out of wraps and bread! The food we did order was good, as was the service.
Service was very friendly and the process was informal and easy.
With the GolfNow special we were able to get it was a very good value.
Great Character
Lovely lil gem in Central Valley. had a great time cute short holes to postage stamp greens . Wonderful views of surrounding mountains . Great pace 2hours 54 minutes played through threesome of lads with my twosome . Nice facility great staff . Thanks Jim
Will play again
Nice coarse - look forward to playing again - some "t" boxes need more grass
GPS
The in-cart GPS system was very helpful for our first time visit. Green are in excellent condition.
Convenient Course
This is a convenient course that offers beautiful mountain setting. Contant ups and downs with the narrow fairways that are curvey gives you different challenges in each hole throughout the 18-hole play. The price is also resonable in that it is worth the money and your time. Lastly, it is located within an hour of driving distance from the city, therefore, it is convenient to visit in your spare time here and there. However, the course is a bit short with narrow fairways for the Driver-happy golfers and that kind of leaves a little sour taste in your mouth as you leave the course. Other than that, it is a beautiful course with very friendly staffs all around and I would'nt mind re-visiting the course every now and then.
Fallkirk
Difficult course. Need to be in fairway...rough will penalize you. Gps in golf carts very nice. Range finder would be helpful on some holes given sharp dog legs...Need to lay up. Hitting a draw a must
Enjoyed it much more the second time I played it vs the first
