Monroe Country Club

This is a 9 hole course that is in pretty good condition. If you play 18 you play different tee boxes for the front and back nine.

The course has good bones and the process always runs smooth. Very happy.

Staff is awesome. Greens are fast and true. Tequila grill has great food to. Course is wide open and forgiving

Cart paths are a combination of broken rocks and gravel. Fairways should be condemned, as they are mostly dirt patches with some rock thrown in. The only compliment I have is that the greens were fast. Superintendent had the balls to tell us to take care of the course, while my stomach was nauseous from the bumps ditches and falling apart bridges that made riding feel like being on a roller coaster I did not sign up for.

This was probably the first course I played 60 yrs ago as a young teenager. I somewhat remembered the layout as I caddied there 2 summers. The greens were in great condition but rhe scragley rough made it impossible to find my ball in a timely manner. I had no one in front of me and so I played quickly especially since I was riding. Looking for my errant shots probably added at least 20 minutes to my round. DISAPPOINTING. By the way there were numerous grounds keepers out mowing and watering the course. Since they appear to have the man power and equipment there must be a reason why they keep the rough in the condition that it was in?

Was delighted to see the substantial improvements to most of the bunkers.

Greens very nice!

I arrived about 40 minutes early to practice but did not realize that that is not a driving range. They did have a chipping and putting area so I checked in and went to work chipping. While I was practicing a young gentleman asked me if I was playing solo and I told him I was. He stated they had room for me if I wamted to play with them, and of course I agreed. I would be getting out 30 minutes early. It turns out the gentleman and his friend were members which I would take full advantage of never had played there before. We had an amazing time. The course was not perfect but the greens were solid. The pace of play was acceptable, and the company paid off. The course was very challenging. It wasn't too long so you would have wedges into some of the greens. My driver was not cooperating but I figured it out and had an acceptable score, for me. I had a great time thanks to Kyle and Que(?). Apologies Que if I spelled your name incorrectly. They invited me back anytime, and I will take them up on that the next time I am in town.

The course is perfect for a laid back round of golf. The staff is extremely friendly, the tequila grille is great (prices and quality). The bunkers could use some work and there a few bad spots on the fairway but the greens are challenging and well maintained.

On this course which is 5 mins from my house ..You need a long driver, long irons and woods..and serious chipping and putting skills ..

Improving golf course .. full 18 holes .. stay in fairway and you’ll love this course.. bring your driver ..
