Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

slow play
We came to the course on time in fact early . We told 20 to 30 minute delay on tee time by starter . Secondly the round was a wait on just about EVERY hole . A ranger came out and nothing happened . More rangers are needed to assist slow players or let others play through . the round was well over 5 hours!! Some of the traps were unplayable because of rocks.
Very Fun Course!
Pine Ridge is a Great Course. Gives you The feeling That your in The Country. Tree lined holes on every hole. Challenging and fun! I Got a hole in one on hole #15. ! It was fqntastic!
Not worth the money
First off charging $40 a cart is ridiculous. I expect a little more out of the coarse for an overall $95 round. Greens were horrible. Not my first time playing here but definitely my last.
Bad Course overall especially for price
This course is the worst on Long Island. I would play here if I was a very beginner for 40$ total with cart. The fact that they charge the same as other courses is a disgrace. Play anywhere else no matter if it’s 20$ more.
A Very Country Feel Course
I love Pine Ridge. All holes are secluded from each other. You almost never see any fairways or Greens other Than yours. Lots of Tree lign fairways. I Got a hole in one on #15. Great Course
Course needs work
Pine ridge may think it’s pine hurst based on its conditions and difficulty. But let’s face it, youre playing here because the other courses were already booked. If you like to hit your driver off the tee then this is not the course for you. The unforgiving out of bounds areas will surly lose you handful of balls. Even when you do hit the fairway, the unkept sands and choppy fairway will surly make it less appealing. Cart paths are trails through the woods and pace of play is not kept on weekends.
Poor pace and Conditions
I enjoy about every round of golf I play except this one. No pace whatsoever, and it seems they booked times close together for max profits. Not caring about the quality of an experience. Payed 71 dollars and didn’t even get a cart? Oh that’s an extra 15 when you get there.
The course is in terrible shape. There are many bald spots and the tree area is loaded with poison ivy. The greens were so so. The pace of play was over five hours. The management spends very little money on upkeep.
Last resort
Extremely slow pace of play. Course was not in good shape, lots of brown spots all over. For the Sunday price we paid, it was not worth it. The only saving grace, the attentive and good mannered staff.
Pine Ridge Review- 6/12/24
Not bad. Almost no rough on any hole. Each fairway is mostly lined by dead grass/dirt/sand. Each fairway and green played very fast too. The grounds keeping is just not great, which is a shame because it's a nice course. There is a bunch of poison ivy and long grass before the tree line. There are an insane # of bunkers, but if you like that for difficulty, I won't question it.
An additional $30 for a cart is pretty high for me, so I walked it and some holes were at least a few minutes away. Not sure if it's actually walkable because of this for most people.
The staff here are the best I've interacted with at any course and it's very nice to have a range and putting green there too.
Fun and quick
The grounds could use some TLC, but still a great deal for the money. Lots of dog leg par 4s and fun par 3s. Could have played in under 3 hours as a solo, but had to slow down due to a twosome in front of me
