Surprisingly good
Despite being a little shorter and tighter than other courses in the area, it was in good shape and a lot of fun.
Long day
My tee time was delayed an hour. Have not played here in a weekend until now, thinking they try to get in extra tee times in between, as well as using the back 9. Course in so so shape. Fairways were good, greens were in bad shape
Short but challenging course 30m from Uptown Manhattan
Very picturesque, a short but interesting course, with lots of par 3s. Some of these par 3s are very challenging, specially hole 9. Not rakes for any bunker though.
Pace of play was awful
Course is what it is, fun when not crowded to swing and hit the ball and practice short game. Will never play a weekend ever again. 5h30 round for a short course like this, insane
Kissena golf course
I hadn’t played at Kissena for over one year. I thoroughly enjoyed my first outing of 2023. I’ve always enjoyed the course lay out and the mixture of
par 3s and 4s. The greens need some work but
the course does not disappoint.
short with a few challenging holes
good pace. finished round in 3 hours. friendly staff. greens a bit bumpy dew to aeration.
Course in very good condition
Course is in very good shape, greens are rolling very nicely. It’s a Par 64, but plays longer with many uphill and dogleg shots. Uphill Par 3’s play 1 to 1 1/2 clubs longer. I would recommend this course and plan to play again.
Hidden Treasure in Flushing
Though you may have some complaints about the course, let us not forget the low prices, challenging greens, and availability of this course. I enjoy this course every time.
Short but challenging course 30m from Uptown Manhattan
This is a fascinating course to play, because the terrain is quite up and down and challenging. The par fours bend left and right and are very interesting. This is a short course, no par 4s, and an abundance of par 3s, but many of these par 3s are tricky. Overall, enjoyed the round. The tee boxes need better maintenance and the non of the bunkers had rakes, making them quite difficult of negotiate.
