Kissena Park Golf Course

Short course, in fairly decent shape. 4 hour round as a twosome on a 4660 yard course, so while pace was acceptable, it wasn’t like we were blazing around the course.

Bunkers were in very nice shape. Greens rolled a bit slow. Tee boxes were flat and well maintained. Roughs we’re lush and actually fairly penal.

Course isn’t particularly interesting. Not many noteworthy holes, though one mid length uphill par 3, I think 14 was actually quite pretty.

Not sure if I’ll ever be back again, but certainly don’t regret playing there, and would recommend to more novice golfers.

Not too bad for a public course 20 minutes outside of Manhattan, but don't go in with high expectations. Course is in decent shape, but some of the greens are brutal! Apparently no one fixes divots and it affects putting. For how short the course is (par 64 with no par 5s), the pace of play is excruciatingly slow. Took almost 5 hours to get through 18. When we stopped at the shop at the turn, the person working was on a cigarette break and refused to help us until he was done smoking. Even after he finished, he seemingly did not know how to work the register and had to call backup - the whole ordeal took up 20 minutes just to get a few drinks for the back 9. That being said, the course does the job and you will have fun with friends and is a good easy course for new golfers.

Unfortunately the greens have seen better days, but that won’t deter me from returning. I know they will get them back into great shape.

Great short course. Great to walk with a push cart. This course has a lot of ELEVATION shots so really good course to practice learning how to read certain elevations. Rangefinders with slope reading are amazing here. Practice those slope shots.

Check in to see if they've aerated the green recently though. Punched greens are the wrost.

Shorter course, great pace of play...early morning. Nice course to work on 2nd/approach shots, very good fairways. Greens a little bumpy, ppl not repairing divots.

Enjoy my rounds at Kissena. Longer than an executive course but shorter than most NYC public courses. Friendly staff with fast pace of play when teeing off late morning with no one in front. Challenging greens and hilly layout makes for a fun day out on the course.

This is a short course with 8 par 3 and ten par 4, totalling a par 64. The elevation changes add to the difficulty with tees and greens also sloping fairways . The 11th hole is the highest point in Qns so very windy days are more challenging. The summer months average 4hr to 5.5hrs, very popular , off season 2.5hrs to 4hr, played here for years.

I played when greens were aerated, no joy putting, but the course was wide open allowing for practice pitch/chip shots, yeah! and still finished in 3.5hr

Great course with interesting holes and often challenging holes. Short course, but plenty of opportunities to hit the driver. I love this course. Easy to get to on public transport too. Very friendly staff. Will come back often

The pace of play was good but the greens were aerated and in bad shape. Shouldnt be full price right now

This course should not have any good reviews….maybe when nobody is on the course it’s fine because the pace of play here is absolutely terrible. Scheduled 18 holes and was paired with 3 other players. One quit after 2 holes and the others only played 6…6 holes took almost 2 and a half hours….tee boxes are so chewed up and with pace of place this place was nauseating
