Washington County Golf Course
About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

One of the better county courses to be played
The staff was very friendly, the course was in great shape, fast greens, manicured fairways, sand that was fluffy like a sand trap should be, Great course to play for $60.00 would have been disappointed if I had paid full price.
good course
Experience was good, but my confimation indicated a $15.80 on line payment. They knew nothing of this and charged full amount. I expect there will not be a chage on my master card. Please confirm.
great course slow pace
Get started before the couple's and seniors start.
hidden gem!
nice layout, well maintained golf course
greens were on the faster side which is nice for a change
Worth the drive from MKE
Great course - great value due to GolfNow's buy one-get one free offer.
interesting, fair course
Very nice practice area, interesting, fair course, well maintained, nice pace of play.
Great course.
Course is in great shape. good pace of play. Would recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a weekend round with their friends! Used the blue tees, but probably should have played from the blacks.
This is a great course and is challenging. Golfers should play from the correct tees
The front nine took almost 3 hours as we had two groups of 4 ahead of us that were playing a scramble for some reason. At the turn the back nine took less than 90 minutes. Great way to spend Fathers Day with my son
A staple in my rotation
I like this course. A LOT. Challenging, but not overly punitive. Always well kept. The only thing keeping it from a "pristine" maintenance rating was all the goose poo on 14 green from the several families of geese that live there. Value becomes great when you find a deal for $45 or less. Always recommended. Can be VERY windy, and there are no rain shelters to speak of.
This course is a gem!
I love this course. Pristine condition, friendly staff, and can be as difficult as you want with multiple tees to choose from. A lot of deep fescue grass, which is punishing, but nice wide fairways give you a fair chance. Links style course, with few trees, so the wind is a big factor. Love the dog legs and the risk/reward features of many of the holes. This course is very nice, and affordable. Much like Broadlands and the Oaks.
Beautiful, Wide open, challenging and windy!
Great golf course. You're on a hill so the course isn't protected from the wind. It's a great course to play if the bugs come out because the wind will always blow. No shade so ride and use sun protection on a hot day.
I make pilgramage to northern WI every year to play this course. Very nice. B.G., Milwaukee,WI
I wanted to show my friend this course. He's new to golf and has never played there. We played on Memorial Day 2013. The course looked great considering the visability from the fog, rain, wind (up to 25 MPH). After jittering into the club house for a great Brat lunch (w/ chips, pickle and grapes) we went out again to attempt, Mother nature. By the 13 hole she beat us. So we called it a day.
Oh well. What more can you expect on a Memorial Day in WI. Maybe next time.
Nice course. Very happy with conditions
Worth the money! We had a great experince for the group
Great links style course
The course was in great shape considering the spring we've had so far in southeast WI...fairways are near perfect and the greens are fast. Golfed as a twosome so we finished in 3.5 hours. And the course is playing relatively easy due to all the fescue and rough being cut short...typical for this time of year...and the winds were lite. If you live in the area and haven't played this course, you're missing out...hands down one of the best courses in SE WI...and a great deal through golfnow.com.
Fun track
Interesting variety of holes, the type of course I could play repeatedly without becoming bored because layout dramatically affected by the type of wind you get on any given day....
This course is fun to play.
I like this course a lot but since it is early in the year, it wasn't in the greatest condition, kind of like my golf game. :o)
I had a great time even though conditions were not ideal. It didn't help that there were no Porta-Johns on the course either.
this course is challenging and is always in good shape
I'v played here a number if times and have never been dissapointed. It sits up high in the area so is usually much windier than you'd think. It is a bit too priciey if you are not a county resident.
Very open
Nice course. Pretty setting. Friendly staff. Rolling moguls.
A Favorite Place to Play
Always a challenge, always a joy to play at Washington County. Bring your A game, it doesn't get much better than this.
Great condition, but boring course
This course was in good condition, but its boring. I drove an hour to this course paid around $40. I wasn't disappointed with the course but I wouldn't drive the distance to golf there again and I have no problem driving hours to golf at certain golf course's. It's worth doing it once you will not be mad with what you paid but it may or may not be a course you love. In conclusion I did it once, I liked it, but not enough to golf there again.
