About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Great course
This course was recommended to me from a ranger at another course. Everything was in great shape, tee boxes to greens and everything in between. Greens were super fast and rolled true. Beautiful setting too. Highly recommend.
One of the best courses in the area
You will not be disappointed! Spacious fairways, slick greens beautiful layout just stay out of the fescue.
Nice and Challenging
Course was in great shape - greens rolled true. Wide fairways but if you miss, the fescue will punish you. Sunday pin placements on the edge of greens so hitting it close was difficult at times.
No roll out
Wet conditions with only a couple holes, cart path only. Modern course drains well. Head pro offered apology and rerouting for slow play ahead after splitting up an unscheduled 5 some. Generously offered a restart even after 5 played holes. Great underrated venue given exceptional practice facility. Also love plastic hole insert cups flush to greens. Would play more at the $40 rate. County residents marginal savings over public rate - needs tweaking.
Beauty in Washinton County
I remember the discussions on building this course. It is well worth golfing. One of the nicest courses in surrounding area. Great small 3-hole course for practice/teaching kids. And the course itself varies. High up, so water problems are minimal if at all. It is always guaranteed good golf day when playing Washington County.
Nice layout, plenty of challenges. Senior tee's appropriately spaced.
I'm a 73 year old 13 handicap. I found the course challenging and fair. I'll definitely be back.
