About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

One of my favorite tracks. Greens were lightning fast!
Great layout but not much else
The pace of play was horrendous. 3:15 to play 9 holes. Everyone in our group quit after 9 even though we all had paid for 18. I won't ever play here again unless it is for a tournament. Snack bar had a decent beer selection, but was not stocked well on chips. This is a very good layout and should be a fun course to play but that was not our experience. Proshop staff was good. We played the 3 practice holes and should have just kept going around that track. only think missing there was yardages but it didn't impact the fun.
Always a good course to play
For the second time in a row, the course staff wasn't up to snuff on handling my Golf Now reservation. Oddly, the only course I have had issues with. I showed them my confirmation and prepayment and all was good. Course is a little beat up this spring, but plays well. Great layout. Quick round on a Wednesday afternoon. Always a pleasure to play Washington County.

Play here every year. Never disappointed. In great condition even this early in the season.

Course was in excellent condition, early morning rate to walk was outstanding and greens were moving great for early in the season!
Can’t wait to get out for even more of a challenge when the trees, fescue, and environment is in full bloom!

Course is in great shape and one of the best in the area. We play all over WI, but make a point of playing here at least once a year. Play it...and you'll know why.
