About
Blackhawk Golf Course in Janesville is a nine-hole course that winds along Spring Brook Creek. Mature trees dot the rolling terrain, framing the holes and coming into play beside the fairways. The creek also presents a few hazards but it is not overly threatening. The course has a classic layout that is gentle enough for beginners but still offers enough challenges to make it an enjoyable round for casual golfers though the peaceful scenery makes the course attractive no matter what skill level. It is also great for a quick round when you have a spare moment and its versatility also makes it ideal for tournaments and events. Opened in 1964, the golf course has garnered a following amongst locals. The fun and playable course has become one of the most popular nine-hole golf courses in Wisconsin.

Fun
Nice little course for the price, not long , not to difficult, was in great shape, only lost 1 ball lol
Good starter course
Falling leaves were a problem but the course was nice
Nice coarse
Nice 9 hole coarse. Good layout and challenging. Best coarse for the money that i found.
Great short course
If you're looking for an easier but well-manicured 9-hole course, Blackhawk is a great choice. A par 34 with three par 3's, five par 4's under 400 yards, and one dog-leg par 5, this course is fun for beginners and scratch players.
The clubhouse is very small, but still has a decent selection of beers for your round. Although it may not be sanctioned, there is an off-course bar and grill just off the 5th tee box where you can refill if you want the group behind you to play through.
There are two practice putting greens, and across the street there is a large area for free BYO-balls driving range and chipping green.
You're probably not going to lose many balls here as long as you can hit an ok drive, as hitting over the creek isn't hard on 2 & 6. 6 & 8 may collect your ball, however, if you have a bad slice, and 9 gives you an opportunity to hit over the creek on your 2nd or 3rd shot.
