About
Blackhawk Golf Course in Janesville is a nine-hole course that winds along Spring Brook Creek. Mature trees dot the rolling terrain, framing the holes and coming into play beside the fairways. The creek also presents a few hazards but it is not overly threatening. The course has a classic layout that is gentle enough for beginners but still offers enough challenges to make it an enjoyable round for casual golfers though the peaceful scenery makes the course attractive no matter what skill level. It is also great for a quick round when you have a spare moment and its versatility also makes it ideal for tournaments and events. Opened in 1964, the golf course has garnered a following amongst locals. The fun and playable course has become one of the most popular nine-hole golf courses in Wisconsin.

Worth every penny
Was extremely impressed with every aspect of the course condition -----great bang for the buck!
Nice golf course
Would have been nice if they had more portable bathrooms. Only one on hole 6. Otherwise nice course.
Most greens pose a challenge with almost no straight in putts.
This course is relatively short and accommodates mostly locals, seniors, ladies and children. It is always well maintained. There is sufficient drinking water during the hot months of summer. However, there is only one port-a=potty located near hole number 7. During the months of May thru Aug, morning leagues fill most of the tee times. However, afternoon and weekend tee times are almost always available.
Nice course
Good deal for the price, got a great deal through Golf now on Labor Day.
Repeat customers
We have played this course several times and it's always a lot of fun and in great condition.
Short course
Nice course to play for beginners and to work on your short game.
Wednesday night = league night and H.S. golf team
Blackhawk is our favorite local course because of the great price for a quality course. However, we chose the wrong night to play. There was both a league and a H.S. golf team on the course that day, slowing things for us. Thankfully a few groups allowed us to play through so it wasn't terrible. Great course for a spur-of-the-moment tee time.
