A course once described as the place where 'Golf, beauty and the social life, go hand in hand' . In the warm summer months when the skies are clear it has some of the most uplifting views to be found anywhere in the world. Although not one of this fair country's longest courses, if a golfer achieves a score under par here, he or she will have played exceptionally well. With the winding fairways climbing up the hillside, across the gorges and valleys, before leading back down to the club house and finishing over the meandering burn, you will know that you have played over a good golfing challenge.

Magnificent, challenging and perfect Greens

1st time i played here with the mate and what can I say, was it worth the £40 GN deal? Absolutely I still can't belive how good the greens were, pool table comes into mind, obviously not flat but my god! I've played quite a few courses in scotland and these were possible the best condition I've seen! The fairways were a bit baked in places that can't really be helped in this heat. Great variety of holes with views in every direction. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the mate has and said it was seriously good the last time he came to play it and highly recommend. Also a massive shout out the Gary in the proshop left my phone in the toilets so someone handed it in but we finished later so it was closed Gary came back to open it up and see me a 2 hour drive back up to get it. All in all highly recommend in every way. Cheers

Superb views down the Tay river

Stunning location and course, not to long of the yellow tees so good for all level off golfers.

First few holes up hill but once at the top of the course make sure you have a camera with you.

Great mid week value, pro very helpful and food in the clubhouse really nice.

Oh my, what a golf course, views spectacular, but boy those hills....

It was an absolute pleasure to play Pitlochry golf course. The staff and members were very friendly and helpful, (a few wee top-tips for the course before we went out).

Almost every hole is a feature hole, the views are spectacular, as is the challenge of playing such a hilly golf course. Did I say it was hilly.... yet the lies on the fairways were nearly always flat, what golfer doesn't like those ;-). The Greens were in superb condition, as was the overall condition of the course.

It is has immediately become one of my favourite courses, and we'll definitely be back. I'll do some hill-walking prep first ;-)

Thanks to the members we spoke to and the staff, you made us feel very welcome guests.

Lovely course with great scenery. Despite it being March the full course was on and offered great value for money. Clubhouse staff and shop assistant were very welcoming and hospitable.

Ideal stop off point for a game on the way to/from Inverness.

3h20m for the round as well.

Beautiful course amid wonderful highland scenery

I played the course twice on a recent holiday in January. On both occasions, due to a little frost in the ground, winter tees and greens, as well as mats on fairways, had to be used. However, on each of the days, there was plenty of sunshine and I could see the potential of playing the full course at another time of year. On several holes, there were very inviting looking approaches to summer greens and I could tell that the course is very well maintained throughout the year.

The winter layout was still a lot of fun, with a variety of challenges in its mixture of par 3s and shortish par 4s. You still have play well to score well, here. If you are planning a holiday in the area, be sure to take your clubs. You will not be disappointed.

I was delighted by the spectacular views from all parts of the course and felt very blessed to play golf in such a lovely setting.

Stunning course.

Absolutely amazing course in superb condition. Played it a few days after they'd held the Highlands Open there. Very hilly first few holes, so be prepared if you struggle walking (buggies are available). Amazing views all from every hole. Massive kudos to the green keepers.

The pro on the other hand was exceptionally rude, he struggled to look up and greet me when i entered the proshop, and basically answered every question with a yes/no. My tee-time was 12.00 I arrived st about 11.00 and checked in. "You can't go out until your time because members go out first". I'm like fair enough I'll go and warm up, and wait until 12.00. The course was completely empty, I had the course to myself, other than a two ball 5 holes in front.

Overall a great experience on the course, but off the course one to be missed.

Hi Mr Stather

Thank you for your review and I’m glad to hear you enjoyed our amazing course.

My apologies if you thought I was being rude and not my usual cheery, chatty, self on Thursday morning. I was busy trying to balance the last few day’s takings without much success !!

Just a wee heads up for the future when you book the cheapest tee time going “Hot Deal” please bear in mind (as per the booking conditions) this offer is for that tee time only.

It’s funny that it appears only the golfers who purchase the “Hot Deal” tee time, enquire if they can go out any earlier than the time they’ve booked.

Best wishes

A fantastic course .

We played the course on the 7th of September, 15 players. The course was busy with other parties but the players all seemed to flow along quite nicely with no hold ups, it’s a challenging course with most greens well protected with bunkers ( could do with some more sand in some of them) but still a good challenge. The staff at the club house were friendly and very welcoming, the food was of a very high standard with the pork and apple sausage roll being a favourite with our guys. We had a good time.

One notable piece of feedback is the cost of a buggy, 40.00 is maybe a little to expensive for some, and many people may require them, demand is good, hence the cost.

It’s the first time many of us have played Pitlochrie, l would not hesitate playing it again.

Well maintained course

Had a very pleasant round here on a beautiful sunny morning

Helpful chap in Pro shop moved our time so that we could use the clubhouse to have some breakfast after our longer than expected journey /nothing seemed to be a problem for him

The clubhouse offering and service was excellent and again very cheerful and helpful staff

The course was in immaculate condition clearly well cared for by greenkeepers who take a pride in their course.

A challenging course with varied elevations which afforded the most amazing views of the surrounding Perthshire hills I would highly recommend visiting Pitlochry Golf Club

Great course with stunning views

The course was in excellent condition. Greens were undulating and true. Fairways wide but put your ball in the rough and don’t expect to find it!

Very hilly so a buggy is well worth the rather expensive £39, but put this together with the Golf Now deal and it was a good value round.

The views are stunning especially when the sun shines

Amazing course in excellent condition

Great course with outstanding views. Club house is really nice with great views over the course. Our only criticism would be that £39 for a buggy was very expensive.
