Fountain Hills Golf Club

Course was in pretty good condition. Greens were good, Bunkers were another story, several inches of water like a little lake.

Decided to go play 9 holes after 5pm and it was the worst mistake ever. Had to wait and every Teebox to hit and had to wait in the fairway and every hole to hit as well. Pace of play here is disgusting and not up to standard. Definitely recommend only playing here early in the morning and anything in the afternoon is bad because I end up having to wait to play

Great course great facility great customer service

I have played here for several rounds of golf and it really is a nicely laid out course. With all the rain this past week, the grass in the rough was brutal though. Extremely long and lost a few balls in it. However, that isn’t the course’s fault entirely. I do believe the course was dry enough on all holes except number 8 to have been able to have carts off the cart path. That just makes playing more difficult and makes the round take longer. I will definitely return to golf here.

I don’t know why I never played this jaunty course before. My mistake. Fountain Hills starts off in humble fashion with a straight away par four with o.b. along the left edge. Staying in the fairway makes this hole a good warmup for the day. As you torn the corner and play the shortish par four 2nd hole you face a need to keep the ball right…not too far right, but enough to avoid the tree that blocks shots to the green on the left. It’s an interesting shot value for the early holes. The first five holes are straight forward and have clear shot lines…no tricks are being played on the golfer.

I found a different feel to the final four holes. The look of the holes from 6 to 9 seem to be from a different course designer altogether. These four holes are challenging (the fifth hole is also interesting with its blind uphill tee shot with a lake to the right of the green) and visually appealing. I especially liked the par four 9th closing hole with water and a waste bunker down the entire right side. Tip: use a hybrid off the tee to stay in play.

All told, I was very pleased with the course conditions and the hole routings. It’s in reasonably good shape for the amount of play it must receive. I’ll return…and so should you.

Love everything about this course. Friendly staff. Great course! Love having a cool beverage afterwards!

Played a practice round with my wife. Best ball to keep pace and allow her some time on he course. had a great time. Walk for the exercise which was good.

Guy in the pro shop was not helpful at all, I’ll take my money elwhere.
