Great course, fix the tee boxes
It is a great course and good value. The majority of the course is in great condition. The only draw back are the tee boxes. There is not one level piece of turf to
put your tee in and swing away. You have to stand in the rough and put the tee in along the edge to
have a level stance. Since the rest of the course is so well taken care of, it is a shame to have the tee boxes in the condition they are in.
Pace of play
Had 12:45 tee time… left after only playing 14 holes @ 5:45 due to slow pace of play…unfortunate because I enjoy the course …second time this happened on this course
Fix the tee boxes!!!
Not a level tee box at this place. They have done a lot of work to keep the greens but starting a hole on beat up not level tee boxes! Come on.
Challenging day at Stonebridge
If you are not a long driver there are a few holes that are difficult because there is water in the way, Course management is the key. Putting greens were fun to manipulate. Fun day!
Great Course and a Great Value.
Stonebridge is one my favorite courses on LI. Greens are in great shape as are the fairways. However, some of the tee boxes are in need of repair. Also, the 8 th hole has a continuing drainage problem which has existed for years and nothing has been done to resolve the problem.
The pace of play was good. The restroom facilities in the clubhouse are excellent, but there are none on the couse.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful well maintained greens. I highly recommend this course.
Where is the ranger?
Played behind a 4some hat would take 2 or sometimes 3 shots per person even on the fairways. Round ended up being 5+ hours. NO ranger showed up until the 15th hole. That should never happen.
All around great deal
This course is a great deal for the area. The course layout leaves options for play based on skill/ball carry. Which makes it a fun and enjoyable place to play regardless or ability. Greens and fairways are well maintained. My only complaint would be the tee boxes can be chunky and my pet peeve not level. Overall it’s been my go to since moving to the area 3 years ago.
Back in the Rotation
I hadn’t played Stonebridge in many years, but figured I’d give it a try to see how much I’d like it currently. Probably the key negative is the back and forth fairways on several holes that cause quite a bit of “Fore!” to be yelled by errant shots. Course conditions were spotty in places, but not poor enough to detract from a satisfactory round. I do like the layout which puts a high demand on approach shots and putts. I enjoyed playing at Stonebridge, so I’ll put it back in my playing rotation of courses on the Island.
