About
Prairie Landing Golf Club has received acclaim ever since first opening in 1995, including a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest. This West Chicago course will make you feel as though you've been transported to a seaside links course in Ireland. The prairie-style layout closely follows the tradition of classic links golf courses. Robert Trent Jones II designed the course, fully utilizing the rolling terrain. He incorporated large, undulating greens and rolling bent grass fairways. Vast swaths of native grasses stretch along the fairways and strategically placed bunkers frame the greens. There is also contoured mounding to contend with. The golf course finishes with a memorable par 5 that features fairway bunkers on the left followed by a carry over a lake to a well protected, high bowled green. Prairie Landing also boasts a practice facility that includes a driving range with target greens, four practice holes, and a nine-hole chipping and short-game area.

I really enjoyed my round of golf today. The course was in great shape. We finished in just over 4 hours. I look forward to coming back again.
Target golf. Some fairways and very small landing areas and questionable layouts overall. Somewhat disappointing. Will not return.
Lightning Greens
Prairie Landing is a great course to play as long as it’s not cart path only. Then you will die lol figuratively. Some very challenging holes with a great layout. Beware the greens are lightning quick. Enjoy
pretty good, but room for improvement
It's a tough course. Not for beginners, or old people who hit it 20 yds at a time. The group of old people in front of us struggled, and played slow. The ranger said they weren't slow. He didn't have to sit behind them all day. Starting on a driveable par 4 doesn't help pace of play. There are some good risk/reward holes. There are also a few bland, straightforward holes. The greens are relatively smooth and fast, but poa annua is creeping in. At this price point, I expected near perfection. It's pretty good, but there's room for improvement.

Great Layout, immaculate conditions. Really worth the $ and trip to play this gem in Chicago burbs!

Every hole is a fun and different experience. Much different from the average IL neighborhood course. A serious gem in Chicago’s suburbs!
Great Course
Great course for value on golf now. Course conditions were great. Some holes slowed pace of play due to difficulty in crowds ahead of my foursome but overall great experience.

Excellent course, got the best of me again. No fault of the course, in Excellent condition. Fair but, challenging. Strongly recommend course.
