Settler's Hill Golf Course

The general flow of the golf course has been mightily improved, given the layout change of the holes. That being said, the maintenance team needs to improve their diligence and repairing the greens and those playing the course need to do a better job of fixing divots.

Additionally, a range that patrols the course would be a huge benefit as most rounds at this course are going to run 4 1/2+ hours.

Overall, it is a entertaining course layout, but does feature very little room for mistakes and a lot of lost balls. The course has a lot of potential, but needs improvements to the driving range and maintenance on the course to truly reach that full level of potential.

I wouldn’t say this is a bad course, just for the weekend rate you can play nicer courses. The only complaints I have were that the tee boxes were in pretty rough shape and the GPS wasn’t working on our cart.

The check-in process is slow due to systems not working properly. The staff was professional and friendly but that goes only so far when you get to the course early to warm up and you lose 35 minutes to slow check-in processing due to failing equipment. The staffing is under whelming… to get food at the turn took another 15-20 minutes which slowed things down even more. The course is beautifully from an overall esthetic look but the fairway and green could use a lot of TLC. The course time management was awful. When you have at time 4-5 groups sitting and playing a hole is not good course management and should be addressed immediately.

This course was reworked and rerouted a few years ago but it did not get better. Early this year they rerouted the course again! For what? The maintenance is horrible and the price is relatively high for the area and for the conditions. Sitting on a garbage dump is not helping much either.

Our moved well in completing 18 in about 4.5 hours. Overall the layout is good with a couple funky holes. The combination of links style and wooded holes is nice. I liked the conditions of the green but some of the fairways and area around the greens were in tough shape. Based on the conditions, $70+ for a round is a bit steep.

About half of the course is in horrible condition. I get the weather has been bad recently but can't just be because of that. Layout doesn't make much sense at times. Not worth the money it costs

Second time playing Settlers this year. First time, about 6 weeks ago, the ground was hard and greens weren’t very receptive. Today, greens, fairways were in great shape. Couple of holes browned out, but there were workers and rangers all over trying to improve conditions, improving pace of play and being there to assist if the golfers had a question or needed help. Huge Applause!

Regarding course, 4 sets of tees will allow you to choose your challenge. I played the white tees. Driver not needed on most holes.

After reading reviews on GolfNow, I was apprehensive about going out to Settlers. I had a great day and would highly recommend the course.

I love the layout of this course, and the staff was great, but the condition is very bad. They may have had some flooding or something because it was in very poor shape.

I’ve played this course many times throughout the years. After the redesign thought it would be great. The course is in terrible shape. I’d expect at least two years until it’s even close to being decent.

Course was in horrible condition. Some fairways were literal dirt and the greens were really beat up. I could not get my tee in the ground on multiple tee boxes. Also, the starters were cranky and rude. 0 Stars. Do not come here, especially for the price.

Like elevation, like changes in hole sequence, like course condition, and like value.

I have been playing settlers pretty consistently. I have to utilize my whole bag regularly. This course helps you learn your shots. Your strategy for attacking the pin. While also being just plain fun and beautiful. They have improved the greens and fairways this year and are working on some minor blemishes… (out of current mgmt control) if you are looking for a fun time at an ok price come here.
