The Bridges Golf Club
About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Getting away from the city.
The Bridges is a wonderful course with a few very tough holes. I always enjoy playing here. I just have one problem…….. usually there are range balls to hit? The range had no balls? Players do like to warm up, maybe it was an oversight one time?
Still Great
This used to be a hidden gem and as such the pace of play was amazing. It is not so hidden anymore so the pace has crept up to 4.5 hours but it remains one of my favorites.
Awesome!
Had a great day, playing with the $25 Summer Passbook from the golf show. The pro shop guy Nathan (?), was awesome and hooked us up with the course book and range balls.
Pace of play was good, ample ice water, well kept fairways and tees, slower but true rolling greens, and such an interesting layout for where it's at, basically in the middle of a cow pasture.
Every hole felt different, interesting and required different shots. Absolutely will be back to play again!
Maintenance Needed
I often play on this course last couple of years. It used to be good course with proper management of the course. But recently it got not decent. (This time though several fairways were on aeration. So cart path only in the hot summer day,,,!)
There was no water nor cleaning fabric for ball cleaning stand at all. Felt like the otherwise good course was abandoned since end of the last year..
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, u314159930397. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting The Bridges Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Nice mid-week round
Staff was friendly. Some of the fairways were aerated which is not a bad thing for course maintenance. If you hit it off the fairway, it can be difficult to find your ball. I would definitely play again.
Thank you for your understanding on course maintenance and for appreciating our friendly staff. We look forward to having you play again soon! Thank you for choosing The Bridges Golf Club.
Great course, slow pace of play
No one informed us upon check-in there was a high-school qualifier tournament in progress. So the first 9 holes went by normal, and then quickly came to a crawl as all of those high-schoolers finished their holes. They all have to walk, and their pace of play was unregulated.
We ended up with a 5 hour round, and the 100+ degree heat starts to wear you out quickly. Never saw a single course marshall to help speed things up.
We apologize for the oversight and the inconvenience caused by the slow play during the tournament. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will work to improve our communication and pace of play in the future. We hope you give us another try in the future.
Great Day for Golf
I love this course. If it were closer to home I'd play it more often. Started at 8:50am with temps in the mid-seventies. How great is that for the end of July? If I had a complaint it would just be that when we bought four beers from the cart girl she said she wasn't allowed to give us any ice. It would be nice if she had ice to give out when people are buying multiple drinks. No fault of her own. It seemed like is was a decision from above her. Other than that everything was great!
Thank you for your kind words and for bringing the ice issue to our attention. We're looking into improving this aspect for a better experience in the future. We hope to host you for another round in the future! Thank you for choosing The Bridges Golf Club.
