The Bridges Golf Club

Being out of town I looked for a course that has reviews to help get an idea what I might be getting into. Winter golf conditions are really good. Greens firm and ball rolls true. Fairways and tee boxes are dormant, but that wasn't an issue. Very fun layout. Tips are over 7,600 yards, but it didn't play that long with wind and firm fairways. I will be back. Worth the money.

Brought out a friend and he loved the course and we will all be returning many many more times to come

Although the course grass is brown since it’s winter, still a great day!!! The greens are fast but true and the wind makes it challenging. Just happy to be able to play around before heading back to the cold of Minnesota.

The bridges is always a great round. Amazing roll on the greens and the ungulation of greens slopes is fun and difficult. Amazing course for a round.

Course layout is great and very challenging. Greens are well maintained and pin placement outstanding. Wind is a factor on most every hole.

Didn’t wait a single second. Greens were amazing. Fairways decent - bunker sand great - only issue, which is to be expected, was the wore out areas on tee boxes from slow regrowth of grass

The course was in great shape for the winter and the weather really cooperated with some calm wind and a nice 55 degree day.

Have played here for about a year and a half Probably about 7 times and then in a scramble (WAY TOO MANY PENCIL WHIPPERS, seriously don't plan on winning without an eraser or 2). Course is very nice in the spring summer and fall. In the late fall/winter, it is rather chilly when the wind blows as there is nothing to stop it really. Eventually houses will block more of that out.

The front nine is there for the taking and you can score some pretty easy birdies and eagles. #5 is a par 5 which is supposedly the 2nd toughest hole on the front and 3rd overall. I have yet to get less than birdie on it and each time I was putting for an eagle. Even the #1 handicap 3rd hole par 4 isn't really all that bad but in a south wind it could be. #6, #8, #9 are in my opinion the 3 toughest on the side, with #6 being a true risk/reward hole.

The back nine is definitely tougher of the 2 sides. #12 just kills me each time and it's where a good score goes to die. #18 has to be one of the best finishing holes in the DFW / North Texas area.

The staff has been pretty good each time I have played there. Not overly intrusive but not where they don't acknowledge you. A happy medium if you ask me.

My biggest complaint is that it takes 58 mins to get there from my location but it is really worth the drive to play.

Very good routing of the course to use virtually every club in your bag. Challenging. Course was in very good condition.

Two hour delay understandable with the weather. Not sure if the greens were covered the night before. Staff was nice, but allowed pushy golfers to move ahead of the line. Would’ve been helpful having somebody on the first tee coordinating.

Always love this course. It was in really good shape considering the recent weather we have had. Very friendly staff. They have started making improvements to the clubhouse as well which you notice right away. It will be great to have both indoor and outdoor areas to spend time before or after a round.

I love the course but last week I was turned away due to my wardrobe. It was a cool morning (56 degrees and breezy). As such, I wore my long sleeve Ping turtleneck and golf slacks. The young gentleman in the pro shop politely asked if I had Polo shirt to wear. I said I had one in my car but that it was too cool to play in that alone. He suggested that I put the polo over my Ping shirt. I asked if I could take it off after exiting the clubhouse. He indicated that I would need to keep the "polo over Ping shirt" for the entire round. I told him that was a ridiculous rule and left the clubhouse and did not play. It's a very nice course and the young man was polite, but I won't be back.
