Poorly Designed Course
This Greg Norman design is fundamentally flawed, suffering from a narrowness that is incompatible with its length. To reach championship standards, the course requires a comprehensive overhaul: significant tree removal, widened fairways, expanded green complexes, and a smoother transition between the rough and penalty areas. Those who consider this a top-tier layout should visit the Gold Coast courses for a true benchmark of quality.
A beautifully designed golf course which is beautifully maintained
I have played several times and Brookwater and I always find the course in great condition. It has a majesty and mystique feeling playing the course nestled into the bushland. Fair but challenging. Always a pleasure.
Great Golf
This course is tough, I barely had a flat lie all day, but it was a thrill from start to finish. Absolutely beautiful course, the variety of trees and plants along the fairways and cart paths were marvelous, especially for someone not from Australia. Some of the bunkers are large and deep, definitely making you think about your approach shots. Green and fairways were well maintained. The club set I rented was in good shape, a full set of Taylormade Qi’s. The service was amazing. The pro shop staff made me feel like I was my local home course.
One of the top golf course for a reason
Super friendly staff. A tree lined and beautiful course. Bunkers were a little water damaged but sand was still soft for the two I went in. Super keen to go again!
Amazing Course
Best course in Brisbane. Really well locked after.
Very nice course
Very pretty, interesting and challenging. But quite brutal. Your shots are either on point, in big trouble or lost. You'll have a nice day out if you can keep calm, but you may likely not score so well as expected.
Felt like playing Augusta
What an experience to finally play Brookwater. The course is very challenging but so beautifully manicured and some of the holes felt like you were playing Augusta. Cant wait to play again. The food in the restaurant was first class.
The Brookwater Challenge
I thought the Kooralbyn Copperhead was tough until I played Brookwater (even off the Gold Tees). Every shot needs careful thought. Very long and hardly a flat lie on the course. If you want to persevere and improve your shot-making skills then this is the course to play. Joined as a 5 day member and intend to hone my game here. The atmosphere is excellent - not crowded, can use good practice facilities. The range balls don't look like they were in a meat grinder either. If one can get good on this course, it will make the others look like a piece of cake. I would recommend optical yellow balls so it becomes easier to find them in the rough, and the woods, that you will be in very often here hitting out of.
