Ipswich Golf Club

I've been a couple times with my partner. Note I haven't used the restaurant or any other facilities.

Pros:

Fantastic value for the standard pricing.

Carts are very reasonably priced, especially considering they're good quality for rentals.

Decent challenges and a mostly interesting layout.

Greens are generally good quality and will test your putting.

Handful of holes with big elevation changes or large gulley to hit over.

Tons of kangaroos.

Cons:

TONS OF KANGAROOS. Last round, I had to give up a ball because it was near a mum with joey in pouch. We forfeited a hole because of one aggressive roo. Also my partner had to skip teeing off a hole because of kangaroos in the path.

Holes 7/15 share a tee box in a similar direction, so if you tee off on the reds, someone might be hitting over your head.

Fairways are pretty dry and a bit hard.

Some greens have a lot of sand fills.

All though i went through 10 balls that day because im a tragic golfer, i think the course was very nice the greens were in perfect condition fast and smooth. I was told prior to going there that it wouldnt be very good but i was blown away with how well it looked.

Hot and humid conditions for a round of 18 teeing off mid morning. Course was in good condition. Greens were well grassed but hadn’t tightened up as yet so not much roll. The course is a good layout that challenges you to play the correct shot and not over hit.
