Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club

About
Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club (formerly known as Sugar Cane Golf Club), as its name would imply, sprawls across western Palm Beach County's vast sugar cane fields. Opened in 1987, the golf course features mature landscaping and a classic design that is challenging but playable. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed traps concentrated along the greensides. One of the best aspects of the golf course that makes it stand out from others in Palm Beach County is the peace and quiet offered by its secluded setting. Golfers are surrounded by wildlife including alligators and bald eagles rather than cars and homes. It is one of the county's best-kept secrets.

Good Course, Good Cost
The course was in good shape, good pace of play. Would certainly play again

A hidden gem
This course is off the beaten path being 40 minutes west of West Palm Beach near lake Okeechobee. The rural setting near sugar cane fields adds to a relaxing and scenic round of golf. Many of the greens (especially in the first nine) are challenging because they are small, elevated, undulating, and fast. On a number of holes there is water to contend with it you don't strike the ball well. Because of it's location near the everglades, you are likely to see alligators near the banks of some of the small lakes.
Don’t want everyone to find out!!!
This little gem has filled in nicely over the summer. The greens for the most part were all in great shape with the exception of a few that had blemishes as well as the ball marks form golfers that are just too lazy to fix a ball mark when they finally make it to the green. Fairways were nice other than the leaves but it’s fall. The bunkers still need love so avoid them at all cost.
All in all it’s in very good shape and worth the drive to me.
Nice easy course to play
Good course to play in good shape with the rains. Tee boxes need to be cut a little tighter but great course for the price. Friendly staff. Diane is great.
Summer has been good
Looks like the summer rains have been nice to this course, fairways are in nice shape, most greens were rolling decently, the rough has grown in nicely but the bunkers need some love (I was only in one) but it was hard packed with weeds and could have used some attention.
Knock the rust off
Really cool layout. The front 9 feels like an older course, back nine more modern. Go play and rip some drives! The staff is awesome.
Extremely helpful friendly staff
This course was amazing, the woman at the front desk was super helpful and nice. They have 2$ hot dogs, and beer for sale in the front office. The course was fun. They have gas powered well kept golf carts. There are rabbits, and alligator in the course so be mindful of that when looking for your ball. Over all for the price I will definitely be back to play.
Always Phenomenal
This course is always great to play at, fantastic bang for your buck!
Diamond in the rough
First time playing this course. A friend and I drove from palm beach gardens because I was recommended to this course by numerous people. 12/10 for the course.
Front 9 - easy, fun, confidence booster.
Back9 - gorgeous layout/views, blind fairways (playing it again will make it easier to choose better shot/positioning).
The price made the 45 minute drive worth every minute. The staff was very chill and laid back (we are not good golfers, but we try to have fun), which is how I prefer instead of the snobs we are all used too. Will continue to come back to this course at least 1x a month.
Quirky but fun
Good value for money.
Longest ride to the first tee ever.
Fun to play.
Greens in horrible condition
This is our winter go to course because of price and not usually over crowded.
however the greens were pretty much unplayable. We also only paid &16.50 where as other courses in South Florida are close or over $100
