Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club
About
Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club (formerly known as Sugar Cane Golf Club), as its name would imply, sprawls across western Palm Beach County's vast sugar cane fields. Opened in 1987, the golf course features mature landscaping and a classic design that is challenging but playable. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed traps concentrated along the greensides. One of the best aspects of the golf course that makes it stand out from others in Palm Beach County is the peace and quiet offered by its secluded setting. Golfers are surrounded by wildlife including alligators and bald eagles rather than cars and homes. It is one of the county's best-kept secrets.

Horrible
The course is a mess. The 8:30 tee time sent our threesome out at 8:45 behind a group of 6 and another group of 4. No ranger to check the speed of play.
The greens were all torn up. The fairways needed a cutting. I quit after 8 holes and 2-1/2 hrs of slow play. I won’t be back.
Nice little gem.
This course is a nice little gem. It’s a public/muni course so if you know you know.
The course has a great layout and it’s very scenic, from the trees to the abundance of water and some pretty awesome wildlife I seriously enjoyed this place.
I found some of the fairways and greens to be in great shape and a few that needed some love. The tee box hole signs need some updating and maybe a few signs directing a first timer to the next hole. But overall this was a great little course to play and I look forward to playing again.
Had the pleasure of meeting Jenn in the pro shop and found her to great asset to the course. Thanks for making our visit fun.

less then 3 hours …..
- was the first tee time at 7:20 a - and didn’t see anybody until I was done the first 9 holes …
played two balls most of the day and I saw every few people when I was done. it’s a little bit of a drive, but I enjoyed the course / greens are a little slow but overall a great experience. The two ladies at the office were extremely nice. I’ll definitely play again.
Great day in sugar cane country

Another Year at Belle Glade
I play this course while i am visiting in Florida once or twice a year. it is quirky in a good way being positioned next to Lake Okeechobee. The front nine i ok but the back is very interesting. .The people in the clubhouse are friendly. There is grass in the fairways which is not always the case the courses near where i stay. I thought the greens were very good and it is worth the 70 mile drive each way. There is good value for the money, it is a fun course and I would recommend it if you don't mind the drive.
Awesome course
Great for the price $35 in season worth the 1 hour drive from Broward ALL DAY! Sweet lady in pro shop was a doll. Will be back!
No restaurant
Tale of Two Nines
Front Nine needs some love and a little better direction for the way some holes play. Back nine is beautiful and totally worth the trek to belle glade. Play every Sunday with my dad!
It's definitely worth the drive. I'm 50 miles away. I've been coming here for the past 10 years. It's a great place
