A most enjoyable golfing experience
We played this course for the first time on 2nd Feb 2020 at 08.30am. Cold start at 5 deg C but warmed nicely to 16 deg C by the time we reached the 19th hole only 3 and a bit hours later!
Imaginative layout partly in housing complex but unusually for this area partly in woods with no houses to be seen.
Lots of choices of tees.
Greens were tough with lots of swing but immaculate.
This course is very enjoyable and great value for money.
This course is challenging and in great condition
The course has lots of interesting holes and elevation changes ,will play here again for sure .
Twisted Oaks
Other than a few bad spots on a couple of greens (typical for this time of year) the course is in excellent shape. Plays like northern courses with the rolling hills and split fairways. Will be a part of my groups courses that we play.
This course has a good variety of holes and elevation changes .
The course was in good shape . The 16th green needs some TLC , but overall the course was excellent .
My favorite Local course
A very nice course in very good condition..fairways are the best around..
Good Round, Good Value
We play a fair amount of golf in the area and we felt that the course was in good shape especially when compared to surrounding courses. The price was very fair. The weather could have cooperated more, but still had a great time.
Fun course in good shape. Layout tests all your clubs. Bring some bread to feed the turtles. There are alot of them. Will be back for sure.
We like this Course!
We like Twisted Oaks as if has a fun layout with plenary of challenge and is in good shape !
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
One of my favorite courses because of the interesting routing. Lots of challenging fun holes. Conditions are really good - tees, fairways, traps, greens have all been taken care of.
Beautiful course
Loved the layout, crisscrosses itself a few times but easy to find your way around this course. Greens were very consistent and in great shape. Fairways were in great shape too. Played in 4 hours, so not exceptionally fast pace but good pace. Loved the signature hole #10, twisted oaks in the fairway. The gal at the pro shop was very friendly and helpful to us first- time players. Only suggestion I could make is to fix some of the cart paths.
Unusually Good
Not your typical Florida course. Par 5s uniquely designed and very good. Lots of design features really work here. Well done.
We’ll be back
Back Again
What a beautiful winter day, 82 degrees and sunny with a light breeze. Overall the course was in good shape, so get out and play.
Twisted Oaks
Tee boxes, fairways and greens in real good shape . Staff was friendly and courteous. Pace of play was good. Overall it was a great day!
Clear and cool
The course was in very good condition with fast greens and well maintained fairways. Can't ask for more than that. I will be back again.
The course could make you eat your hat!!
It’s a tough course! Very unforgiving. Challenging and of course it’s golf so it’s fun. The only problem I had is I was in a foursome and they had a bunch of twosomes playing. So we had to let a lot of people play through. Made it one of the longest rounds of golf I have ever played. Other places I have played they put twosomes together and they played as a foursome, it is not unusual. Other than have to constantly wait on the party in front of us, we had a great time.
Unpleasant Experience
I took out 5 balls from my bag to hit on the range before my prepaid round, simply to loosen my back up. A friendly elderly gentleman, introduced himself as Boomer, then handed me about 10-15 balls left over from his small bucket of balls. I was ready to start my round so I put the handful of balls in my bag to hit later. As I was doing so, a 'staff member' abruptly approached from a distance "take those balls outta your bag right now... If you wanna play here and use OUR range, you needa use OUR balls".... Gimme that bucket.... "
So I apologized, took the 9 golf balls outta my bag, and I decided to start my hour long drive back home without playing golf on this day.
Consider my paid round, sir, as a sincere apology for 'disrespecting your course.
Great course. Elevation changes not normal to most Fl courses. Fun layout in great shape. Will return again for sure. Hidden gem.
Challenging layout
Twisted Oak is a nice layout with lots of trees, doglegs and elevation changes fairway are in good shape and greens hold. I highly recommend this track
