Tee boxes is good shape. Greens were in better shape than some in the area. Over all an
enjoyable round of golf
Dreaming of new ownership…
This course needs to be sold to an owner that has a brain.
If someone bought this place and fired every a-hole here and started with the basics, water, fertilizer, aeration, car path repair…. This place could be a NCAA tourney host.
It’s so pathetically kept that it literally hurts to just get around from hole to hole.
Fairway-garbage
Greens-garbage
Car paths-garbage
Layout-unbelievable
It’s just a shame because the track is unique but zero effort has been put in and this course literally has been destroyed by unbelievable neglect/stupidity.
Just a crying shame
A work in progress
Playing Citrus Springs since a few years, and having lived through the (hopefully) last down-turn, I give the course a good chance to become what it once was. First signs of good maintenance are visible.
Keep up the good work, and once the weather starts do cooperate, we'll see a good course by the fall.

Good Value
Overall the course is in pretty good shape given the drought conditions in our area. I will continue to play it as often as I can.
Greens need water as all courses do. Tee boxes in good shape. Club house has a few items in it nice selection and an operating snack bar. No a bad place to spend a little time
Citrus Springs
The man behind the counter wasn't real friendly, but everyone else was great. The course is hurting because of the drought, but most of the greens were nice. Tees and fairways were looking rough from drought. Bunkers were clean and very well manicured. Will definitely go back.
Course conditions have improved 100% since about one year ago
We are so pleased with the condition of the fairways, greens and overall course. We can definitely see the owners are working to improve the conditions. Continue with your effort in making the course improvements.
Great Course, vastly improved Conditions!
Owners have invested time & money and the efforts have paid off! A couple greens are still lacking but overall must improvement! We love playing again here! Kudos!
A project in the making
Making big strides lately to get the course back in shape. It was a great track many, many years ago, but was let go as so many courses in Central Florida.
If they can keep up the good work they have done in the last 6-8 month, that course will be a hidden gem.
The rainy season will help growing more grass in the fairway.
Overbooked! Slow as ....
I arrived 30 mins early for my 10:30 tee time. Was told to start on the 10th hole. There were 4 groups waiting at the 10th already. I asked the ranger if I could go off on #1 since there was noone on it and he said no they were doing maintenance. A 5 hour + round is horrible. Hopefully this is a one off.
First Time There
I was happy to be able to play at Citrus Springs. I had heard from a friend that it was a good course. The price was excellent. The staff .person was not overly friendly when I checked in. The fairways were in pretty good shape, and many of the greens were good, though very fast. Some of the greens were under repair. The layout of the course was interesting, as many holes had doglegs. I didn’t think it was overly difficult, but challenging enough. I enjoyed the day.
