Loved it
As a beginner I came with my experienced player hubby and had a great 9 holes today
As part of our first wedding anniversary and also had a fabulous lunch!!
Great course but annoying green keepers.
This is a nice course to play on, however this time we had quite a few holes ruined by the green keepers. They would not move off the greens as you were approaching which made in uncomfortable trying to hit and land on the green, this happened twice and they even kept going around the green while putting.
On another hole they came onto the green while we were at play amd made us feel rushed to putt as they kept getting closer and closer.
Always challenging and enjoyable to play
Hard to find a nother golf course with so many positives
Nice Coarse extremely slow
Good value nice coarse even though rain affected however extremely slow play waiting 10 to 15 minutes at tees
Course has a good mix of holes
Nice course, tough when the wind is up, lots of birdie holes if you bring your putter. Enjoyed my round had 9 birdie chances only converted 3 finishing in a 75
The location was beautiful, greens good, but if I had a lot more talent I would have enjoyed it more
For a low grade player I found some of the holes challenging, but enjoyed laying the course anyhow.
Good Course
First time playing here. The course wasn't overly long, but made you think about where to put the drive. Course in good condition, bunkers seemed consistent with good sand. I enjoyed the game - would probably score better now knowing the areas to avoid. Pro Shop staff were helpful and friendly.
Chilled, Lots of water
Not a bad course, Greens need some work I saw way to many greens and bunkers not been maintained by fellow golfers Golf Etiquette. The course its self has a nice layout lots of water so need to be pretty accurate.
Green fees are reasonable but believe you can play on better courses for similar fees.
So Much Potential
I would recommend Emerald Lakes attend to their greens as a priority.
The course is looking dated. This is not referring to the club house and facilities, they need to start by addressing the green keeping procedures. Everywhere you look you notice there is no attention to detail on the course. The fairways are patchy, there is minimal distinction between fairways and rough and the greens are so slow and unpredictable.
The course design and layout offers so much potential. It felt as if it was somewhat abandoned.
You get what you pay for
Being one of the cheaper courses in the area, maybe I came into my round expecting too much. Course was pretty flooded from the rain, even the high spots were essentially mud. Course itself seems like it could be a lot of fun if maintained. For how hot it gets, was pretty surprised to not see a single water cooler on the course, and the “watering hole” after the 9th was closed. Had to trek it all the way back to the clubhouse to get water.
A nice golfing experience
The course was great overall; fairly forgiving but at the same time, not too easy.
Pity Qantas Golf is run by an American organisation and the financial system is American and therefore, the International banking charges associated with “buying an overseas product”.
