Very good course
People tell me this is the best course on the Gold Coast and it certainly is very good. Staff were great. Challenging layout, great looking course. Fairways were in good condition. I thought the greens were ordinary and extremely slow. Points off for lack of drinks cart on the course. I find that strange considering the course was fully booked
Lovely course
Really enjoyed Hope island . Challenging but rewarding .
Ammenities superb.
Getting the “ deal” made it pretty good value .
Would recommend but be prepared for a bust course
M
Great course. Nice fairways and facilities was just disappointed that greens were under renovation and nothing was noted when booking at the time and didn’t find out until was at the pro shop.
Awesome layout.
Automatic 5 stars - but - the greens were being renovated hence 4 stars. Furry, sandy greens just took the gloss off what is an amazing golf course. Still thoroughly enjoyed the venue. Great friendly staff. Can’t wait to play again soon when the greens are at their best.
A lovely place. Beware of maintenance on greens
Played yesterday. Nice course but the greens were extremely sandy and borderline unplayable. Wish the rates on here indicated if they're maintenance rates or twilight rates etc
Very poor
No one had informed us the course was under maintenance. The greens had half an inch on sand on them and were completely unplayable.
VIP
Always a pleasure playing here, although the course greens had just been re-cored, that was reflected in the price.
It didn’t detract from the round, and I would put Hope Island up there as one of the best courses to play in SEQ.
The amenities are second to none, fairways just mint and staff super friendly. A VIP experience every time!
Excellent course
Fantastic course, excellent for something new and a challenge for yourself and some mates I can’t speak for other days in the week though Sunday pace of play was a lot slower than I expected. Perhaps having a Marshall to maintain pace of play could benefit. Had to skip a hole but managed to complete 17/18.
Will be coming back again.
Links GC Hope Island
Always enjoy playing Links GC, but yet again didn’t get 18 holes in, due to pace of play. Got to the 9th hole and had to wait 20 mins to play the hole. Slow for the 10th & 11th holes and decided to try and jump a few holes to finish the back 9 and play the signature hole the 17th. Unfortunately it was too busy with a visiting social golf club and we drove from the 12th to the 18th with no gaps.
Played a few holes on the front 9 again, before darkness set in.
This is the 3rd time this has happened to me whilst visiting the Links Hope Island. Badly need to get the course Marshall out on the course to get play moving.
First time but not my last time.
I booked at Links Hope Island after seeing the price and having never played there before I was intrigued. I was greeted by a staff member who took my clubs and said to proceed to the pro shop while he took care of my clubs. The staff at the pro shop were very friendly, I did not get the feeling of being an outsider at this prestige facility, even the members were friendly towards me.
As I booked only for myself I was paired with another 3 players, from the same family from Brisbane, who were very friendly and also playing Hope Island for the first time,
The course was in really good condition, the odd bit of GUR around on the first nine holes was not really a problem. The greens were a bit slow but overall in really good condition except for the 9th green, possibly Winter treatment still in effect.
Well worth the trip and I can't wait to get back to the course and play it again!! Thanks to everyone concerned.
