Gainsborough Greens Golf Club

After playing 3 courses in northern NSW on the 3 days prior and then finishing with GG I was quite disappointed. The putting green to start was in poor shape. The overall fairways and greens weren’t too bad but some of the tee blocks were ordinary. There were also a lot of overgrown bunkers that had been let go and had GUR signs placed in them. Lacking attention to detail throughout and I don’t know what has happened to the creek that runs through out but the vibrant orange colour is very strange, looks like toxic waste. I played the course about 18 months prior and it was in much better shape. It really has been let go and charging $79 is well overpriced. Played Murwillumbah & Ocean Shores for the same price and would rate them 4/4.5 starts out of 5. GG needs a lot of work.

This is a tough course with a lot of narrow driving holes and lots of water, especially from the blues. There’s some really great holes , that challenge you and force you to shot make or lose a ball in the water!

Sadly when I played it there had been several storms and to be honest the course was verging on unplayable. The bunkers were all GUR and the fairways were scruffy and uncut. There was lots of tree damage and debris strewn around the course which had not been attempted to be cleared and the holes clearly had not been changed for some time given there shabby condition/cut.

My frustration was that for $85 i would not have played it as it wasn’t worth half of that , but as always once you pay the green fee you are committed as the course will not refund

Good course and fair price for Saturday social golf. Slow pace of groups infront of us were an issue all day though even though we were in a 4 ball, finished 18 in the dark despite starting at 1:38.

Would play again for sure

First time playing it and some really challenging holes. Finished 35 minutes behind the clock due to two slow groups in front and no marshall.

Was 35 minutes over time due to slow groups in front with no apparent Marshall hurrying them up.

The greens are wet and muddy which got my shoes (as well as the ball and gears, of course) dirty when walking during the game. Seems to need a few more days’ sunlight to make the earth properly dry.. Got another booking this week and hope the condition is better.

코스는 호수가 많아 예쁘고 그린상채가 좋았으나 페어웨이 잔디 상태가 맨땅이 많았습니다. 캥거루 떼가 페어웨이 중간중간에 있았으나 플에이에 전혀 지장을 주지는 않았습니다

Great day out a few slow groups holding up the pace but majority of players were moving along great course layout unfortunately it was carts on paths which would of beenn good to know and been able to book walking for almost half the price which wasn’t offered on the app I booked thru but was if you called the course directly I believe I did more walking then I would of just walking the course

Course is good but some people play too slow and they didn't care about what other people think.

Great course to play. Greens are well kept. Quick playing groups. Shame the clubhouse closes so early.

A course of risk vs reward off the tee with many short par 4’s but hazards left and right. Greens are all in great condition bar one. As it stands the bunkers are GUR and some areas near the footpath are muddy. Fairways are in good nick too. Would recommend and be keen to play it again!

Driving range was good for a warm up, carts were new and in good condition. Greens were really good considering wet weather this year. Only negative was some fairways were average. Course is challenging and would definitely play again.
