About
Cove Cay Golf Club is located along the shores of Tampa Bay, offering scenic views and abundant wildlife. Water is a prominent feature on the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. The course is tight with narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky dogleg holes. In addition to all of the water hazards, there are also deep bunkers lining the greensides. At 6,000 yards, it is not a long course by any means but what it lacks in length it makes up for in shot-making challenges. Thanks to its length though, it can usually be played in under four hours. The layout features a diverse set of hazards that will require the use of every club in your bag. Cove Cay Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 17th. This dramatic hole runs alongside the bay, making accuracy a necessity in order to reach the small peninsula green.

Great for Value
Great course. Friendly patrons. Good bang for buck. Nice scenery. Not overly busy (played Sunday morning). Would recommend to friends.
Nice but pricy
The course is in good shape. The greens were still bumpy from aeration. The $32.99 Hot Deal Price is a little pricy.
Cove cay golfcourse
Course had good pace of play. A lot of sand obstacles and the sand itself was a little rough even though it had been sunny the days leading up. Staff were very friendly and helpful, some of the best I’ve seen. Course would be a little difficult for beginners. My wife and I are somewhat beginners (less than 2 years) and we lost maybe 4 balls total due to high roughs. The club house restaurant didn’t open till 11:00, which isn’t crazy but we were at the turn at 10:30 wanting food/drink. Would definitely go back.
Fun course.
Had a great morning of golf. 7:30 tee time. Played 27 holes in just under 4 hours on a Tuesday.
Good track
Fairways nice, most greens were in good shape. Challenging layout but more difficult since there are no hole layouts on the scorecard or tee markers. Fair value at $55 on a Tuesday.

Get your camera out for some great shots of the Bay. Fun layout with some challenging greens. Staff was friendly. Had a nice round there and can’t wait to come back 😀

Conditions
I've been playing Cove regularly for the past two years, and conditions have just started to fall off a cliff. It used to be one of the best value courses around with great conditions for the cost. It has since started its downturn with non-existent tee boxes and greens that look like an earthquake hit them. Not sure what has happened, but I will not be playing here again until conditions better up.
Fun course
Greens were a little rough, but course has a great layout. The back nine has some gorgeous views along the water
Great potential but underwhelming
As one of the only courses in Pinellas County with great waterfront views of the Bay and a fun course layout, the conditions, especially the greens, fell very short of the $65 greens fee that I paid to play here. Most of all greens had dirt patches and uneven grass, and had also been recently aerated. While I can give the benefit of the doubt for aeration, I would expect greens to not have dirt craters at a $65 course. Decent public track, but one I will not play again until some improvements are made with conditions
