About

Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Great course, bad pace of play

The layout was amazing, course in better shape than last time. Played as a solo but got stuck behind a group of 4 who played multiple balls and refused to let me pass till i had to hit into them. Watched them play 2 balls each as a foursome. Other than that course was great. Def gonna be playing again

Was not out where he should have been, so several goflers went around all the players waiting. Once on the course there were several five player groups, slowing down the pace.

Good value

Desk attendant and F&B ladies all very good. Starter appeared distracted. Some areas including some tee boxes were rough. A reminder to fix ball marks on the greens would be advised. It is unbelievable how many people left them. We repaired a lot of them as time allowed. Will definitely play it again for the value and fun layout.

Twilight Golf was highlighted

I paid for a solo round of 18 holes with a tee time of 5pm. Pro Shop woman was rude, bartender tried to charge me 20% tip for a Gatorade, and the starter forced us to play the back 9 first to accommodate their leave and then the front 9 flags were pulled at 6:30pm.

Make it great!

Please please add some more yardage markers! Paint on cart pack, GPS on those awesome new carts. Additional stakes. Anything! You do charge a higher price but even if you charged a little bit more for the improvements it would raise my opinion of your course immensely and play it more often. Thank you for anything you can do.

Great classic golf course

This is an over 100 year old course. Narrow fairways, nice undulation and design. It may not be the most beautiful or most modern. But it gives you a really nice vintage day of golf.

Excellent round of golf. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We were paired with a single. Very pleasant gentleman and knew golf etiquette. Varying terrain will challenge yardage estimates. Water comes into play on several holes. Will play again.
